Happy Weekend !
I have another card to share with you this evening! For quite sometime I have been wanting to take a paperback book and make a card with its pages, but never could bring myself to rip up a perfectly good book. Well, a few weeks ago while I was at work on the playground I found a book that had been left out in the rain and it was in terrible shape. Needless to say I was thrilled! The kids thought I was crazy when I said I was keeping it. LOL Anyways, so here is what I did with it! I am also entering this in a challenge blog I came across today called Shopping Our Stash…they asked us to create something using our oldest ribbon. This ribbon came from my husband’s art room. A parent gave him a huge bag full over 10 years ago and I haven’t even began to put a dent in it. I have every color under the rainbow! Lucky me! I am happy with the layout of the card, but if I had it to do over I would have picked a better page of text…I keep seeing the words…lame…lame lame in the text and it doesn’t look very good! Oh well! :/ The flowers and the sentiment is from Stamp TV.
Card Details:
Cardstock: SU
Stamps: Stamp TV- Hugs and Prayers
Ink: Stazon
Tools: punch and my cricut for the flower
Acc: ribbon, pop dots and rhinestones
Hope you have a wonderful weekend and I so appreciate the visit! <3

That card is awesome and perfect for a sympathy card. I made a simple CAS one in memory of my brother in law, But I love your design. Lucky you to have so many awesome ribbons too. And love the use of the paper back too. Finding a already distressed one was indeed a treasure and I can understand your excitment. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, Nancy! Love the paper flowers, the layout and the cut flower over the stamped flowers.
This is gorgeous! I love the idea of using old book pages or newspaper pages and you’ve done a great job with this one. Flower is fantastic too. Might have to go page shoppping in my boxes of old books now! ~chris
What a book score! I, too, have trouble using book pages for other things. Glad you’ve found our challenge blog, and I hope you play again! Thanks for joining us at Shopping Our Stash!
