Stamping Only…

Hello, Hope your day is off to a good start! Today over at Seize the Birthday Ashwini’s topping that she has chosen is “Stamping Only.”  If this topping isn’t for you, remember any kind of Birthday card and or project will do. I had to add a sequin or three to finish the card off…it needed something more.  This is card attempt number three, as the first two got trashed due to human error. LOL Don’t you just hate when you are nearly done with a card and you drop the ink pad or stamp. Not once but twice! LOL  I am not happy with this card, but I have to remember my word for the year is Simplify, so no time to start again! It’s just going to have to be good enough! The card has a mix of ZIGS, Copics and Colored Pencil.  One of the Pretty Pink Posh butterflies is just colored ink and no coloring at all.  The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up.

I really appreciate your visits.  Now, head on over to STB and check out the team’s and our guest’s work, I promise you will be MORE inspired over there. Nanc’

Prayers…and Love

I have a quick post for you today.  I love Pink and Grey together and those are the colors this time over at The Flower Challenge. This card was inspired by a card I saw eons ago on Pinterest. I know I pinned it, and now am unable to find after nearly 30 minutes of searching, so I apologize for that. It’s time to purge my Pinterest Board! There is quite a mix of supplies for this card.  Altenew is the stamp set, EF is by Cuttlebug, the dragon fly is from Frantic Stamper Inc., the banners are MFT, and the Prayers die and sentiment are Hero Arts. I added a 1/2 piece of vellum to soften the bold black flowers.

Before I go and since I just posted a card with a dragonfly on it, here is what I did yesterday! I decided to make a piece of art for my bathroom.  I found a piece of art on Etsy that I was going to buy, and then I woke up and thought….you can do that! So I did. It was a beautiful day outside on my patio and I had a lot of fun!  It’s a 12 x 16 piece of canvas. It has some things I wish I would have done differently, but that’s okay, it makes it mine! It was made using a stencil I cut from my Cameo, hole punches and sponges.  Thanks for stopping by, Nanc’

You’re On My Mind and Hello!

Hello, And Happy Day to you! I have TWO cards for you today for TWO different challenges!

The first card is for this week over at Just Us Girls.    Vicki has a trend for you that is so much fun to do.  It’s the emboss resist technique. I have this great paper that I have been scarcely using from SU that I decided to use this week. It resists ink! I just love it! I used a mix of companies on this card, as I rarely do…LOL.  The oval is SU, the gorgeous vine and flowers and scalloped rectangle are MFT, and the sentiment is Verve.

The next card is also using the Embossed resist technique along with a stencil for the NEW CAS Stencil Challenge that I am really excited about. I have so many stencils that get ignored, and now I have a reason to use them.  I used a MFT stencil and my Oxide Inks, a Papertrey Ink Stamp set, and my MFT wonky rectangles. Added some sequins and I was done.

Please join us at JUGS this week and check out what my fabulous teammates and Two Guest Designers have done with this challenge and while you are hopping around, go check out the New CAS Stencil Challenge!

Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

Sending Hugs!

Over at Inkspirational they have a CASE challenge going on right now, and as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I was going to do. I got out my trusty Altenew Beautiful Day set and went to work. First, I made the striped background with a SU stencil and brown ink. Then I decided to add stripes with a yellow Prisma Colored pencil to give it some depth. The Altenew main flower is heat embossed and watercolored. The rest of the leaves and flowers were lightly colored with colored pencil. I added the white and black splatters with a child’s old watercolor paint set. They work so well!  Below is the fabulous card that I cased from Erum, I still look at it and swoon!  I made one in pink about a month ago and you can find it HERE.

Hope you are having a wonderful day and thanks for your visit! Nanc’

Leftovers!

Hello,  If you haven’t been by since the New Year, I’d like to wish you a Happy New Year. If you have…..well, Happy New Year once again!  We have a terrific word for you this week chosen by Sue over at Just Us Girls.  It couldn’t have been more perfect timing, as I just went through my studio and picked up ever bit of scrap that I had saved and categorized them in eight little drawers. (And I save everything) It feels so good to be organized again! I also purged a bunch of old stamps and donated them to a friend….that felt nice as well. This card came together so quickly once I found this scrap piece of DP, things fell into place in mere minutes! The only thing I had to do is stamp a sentiment.

We have two Guests this month over at Just Us Girls that I would like to take the time to welcome. We have Janet Ribet, and Cindy Major.  We are super glad you BOTH will be designing with us this month and look forward to all of your creations.  Now, head on over to JUGS and check out what the team and our guests did with their leftovers!

Happy Creating, Nanc’

Confetti at Seize the Birthday!

Hello and Happy New Year to you! I hope you had a great Holiday Season!  It’s feels really good to be back to card making again, and the topping Colleen has chosen for you over at Seize the Birthday to kick off 2019 is Confetti!  I had the time during my blogging break to purge my studio, boy that felt good!.  While doing so, I found this perfect old SU stamp that I knew would help me with this card.  Love when things come together like that. I decided since I needed a Birthday card so close to the New Year, I would use gold as my focal color. I heat embossed my confetti background, used a Verve sentiment, and the Balloons were punched out of gold paper and embossed with a dotted EF. Added two types of ribbon and I was done!

I hope you will take the time to stop by Seize the Birthday and help me in welcoming our Newest Design Team member Cathy! We are so tickled that you are joining us Cathy and cant wait to see your creations!!  We also have a NEW surprise Party Guest starting with us and her name is Julie!  Welcome Julie, we hope you are as excited as we are that you will be with us the next two months.

Happy creating, Nanc’

Christmas Eve Sky!

Hello, I hope you have all your Christmas cards completed. I am nearly done!  I believe, I enjoy making Christmas cards the most out of any other type of cards!  What about you? What is your favorite card to make? When I am done, who knows, I may even get a jump start on next years, as I have a few other ideas I didn’t get around to.

Here is some info on the cards above. The clouds were made with a MFT stencil and Oxide Inks. The Santa stamp is from Kitchen Sink Stamps, and the leave stamps are SU-on the blue card and I believe Gina K on the purple one. The scalloped heart die and ribbons are from Verve as well.

I am linking these cards up over at Fusion– for that beautiful photo and Inkspirational– where it’s Anything Christmas.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Take care, Nanc’

Snowman Joy!

Hello Friends, Got another FUN Christmas card with my MFT Joy die set! You can’t help but smile when you see that cute little snowman staring back at you! I just love polka dots, and when I got this fun Washi tape out the other day I thought it would make a great accent to his cute little hat. I am linking this cute little guy up over at Muse Christmas Visions and again at Inkspirational.

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for your sweet comments as of late, and your visits too! Hugs, Nanc’

Season’s Greetings!

You done with your Christmas cards yet?  Me either! I need about a dozen more, but I will get there, I always do!  Today’s card is a more simple version of one I posted a few weeks ago. You can find that post here. I am linking my card up at The Paper Players this time around where they have a theme of Christmas challenge starting and also over at Inkspirational where it’s Anything Goes Christmas.

The sentiment is from Verve, the wreath and sparkly red paper is SU, the banner die is MFT, and the bow is Paper Smooches.  I heat embossed the greeting and punched out the little holly berries with a hole punch.

Hope you have had or will have an awesome day! Nanc’
