Inspiration Mosaic

This card I made before the car accident and I thought I would post it since I can’t stamp yet! 😦  Feeling better though, but not quite there yet, going to the Dr. Monday.  Anyways, this stamp is from Gina K Designs over at Stamp TV.  It is so much fun to use and has endless possibilities!

Have a great Sunday!

Life changes in an instance.

Just a quick update to say that my family and I were in a car accident Wednesday evening and luckily after all being checked out at the hospital we should all be alright.  I have been home for the past two days suffering from neck and spine pain, but I hope that it’s just temporary.  Hubby stayed home yesterday and handled getting the rental car and our belongings form our wrecked car, and Tyler went to school even though he has a sprained neck.  He’s a trooper!  I just thank God every day, because it could have been much worse.  It was a 4 car accident and we had the most damage.  Luckily it was not our fault and it appears the guy at fault does have insurance.  It sure scared us, especially our son.  But on the same hand it’s a great lesson for him, being that he has only been driving for a short time. He really was shaken up after the initial impact.  It’s a sound he said he won’t soon forget.

Hope to be back stamping real soon!  As soon as this C collar comes off and it doesn’t hurt to look down! 😦

Black, Green and White Challenge

Black, Gr. and Wh.As you can see I am back to work, because I haven’t had any time to post on my blog! 😦 School starts Monday and it’s been a mad dash all week to get the school ready for the kids. I am excited because I have switched schools this year and have returned to elementary. It takes me all of 1 1/2 minutes to get to work now! LOL The hours are better too and I should be home by 3:45 or so every day or sooner. What’s been really nice is that I know so many people there because it’s where my son went to school. I will be working for 1st and 3rd grade and 8 different teachers. I know I will be really busy, but that age is so cute!!!!!
Enough of that on to my card! This is a challenge over at my favorite site Stamp TV. The stamp set I am using is so cool, the designer is Melanie Muenchinger. She is so very talented. Check it out!
Have a great week and wish me luck at my new job!

Busy Busy!

Wow!  What a week !  I will re-cap it very quickly. Interviewed for a new job- got the job!  I was one of 200 applicants.  Back to Elementary School for me, I am really excited.  The best part is, I already know about half of the staff members. It’s the school my son went to. Tough part of the week was going to my old school. 😦  I worked there on Friday and am working tomorrow too.  I have some people there that I am really close to and it’s going to be tough to say so long.  But I think it’s all for the best!  Meanwhile it’s Marching Band Season and I am very involved with MHS Marching Band “Go Canes Go” My son is Junior Drum Major and he is so stoked about it! I spent every evening and most afternoons over there getting the uniforms ready and fitting the band students. I have great helpers and my DH helped me tremendously!  My sister and her hubby came in town Friday night and stayed with us, and we had a great visit. Felt terribly exhausted yesterday and rested mostly and today I am doing all those essential jobs… laundry, cleaning and so forth.  Did manage to make one card for my niece(in Michigan)who just got engaged!

Challenge over at Stamp TV!!

My niece (Courtney) left the Hospital- praise God!

Have  an amazing week!

So very Happy!

“So Very Happy” can pertain to many different things… but today this card pertains to my niece.  About ten days ago she was in a very bad  car accident and she has been in Bayfront Medical Hospital ever since!  We are so lucky she is with us!!! She has been through so much and has been very, very strong.  We went and saw her last night and she looked really good.  She has good spirits and the only thing that is keeping her from being released is her chest tube.  I just got word today that although the chest tube is to remain for now, they may move her by ambulance to a rehabilitation center near her home, which is good news!  So today I am “So Very Happy” we have some good news!

Hope you have good news today in your life and remember,

Photos

Our Daughter I Was going through all my recent pictures I loaded on the computer the past few days and thought this photo of our “Daughter” Muffy (or “Mussy” which seems to be her new name, thanks to my 2 year old great niece) came out really cute. The photo seems to catch her personality to a tee. She absolutely loves being outside, and on this particular day she got too close to the clay that my son was working with on the potter’s wheel. So here are two photos of “my children”.

The Cutest Thing!

Antartica

Antartica

My husband is a Middle School Art teacher and every year he is fortunate enough to get hired at a local Elementary school to teach summer school. Anyways they offer an art class to help encourage the children to come to summer school. The school always has a theme for that year, and this year was the Artic. My son always helps him get the room looking spectacular and this year he made a white seal out of styrofoam and a small basketball. Check it out! It’s so cute!!

“Purse”onally what do you think?

“Purse”onally this is the hardest and cutest card I have ever made! I stumbled across this idea at least 10 years ago from a Scrapbook magazine. I would be happy to plug the magazine if I knew what it was! Oops! Because I don’t like clutter or like having to many magazines accumulating around the house, every so often I go through each magazine page by page and rip out the ideas I want to create “someday”. Then discard the rest. This was always one of my favorites, but never felt I was talented enough to pull it off. Well, all thats changed and I am starting to gain confidence thanks to my friends over at Stamp TV.
Thank you Asela and Gina K!
Check out all the photos of this card Here.

Hope you enjoy it!
