Ribbons,Flowers and Buttons..Oh My!

The challenge over at JUGS this week is to use Ribbons, Flowers and or Buttons on your favorite 3D item and or Template.  So this card was created with that challenge in mind.  I have a hard time layering my cards, so this was a good push for me. I must say, I am overall relatively pleased with the outcome.  If you have never checked out the JUGS website (Just Us Girls) you need to!  They have a different type of challenge every week, so it keeps things interesting!

Enjoy your day,

Recipe:

Paper:CM and Basicgrey

What’s Shaking?

I can’t help but chuckle to myself every time I use this great Bunny Stamp from Verve.  It’s just so stinkin cute!  The challenge I am playing along with is over at Casual Fridays.  They asked us to make a card and incorporate a pun or silly joke in the sentiment!  This fits perfectly!

It’s not to late to join us…go have a look here!

Recipe:

Paper: Scrap

Stamps:Bunny Shake (Verve)

Ink: Black and Colored Pencil

Accessories:Ribbon, pop dots

Tools: MS punch and SU

Distressing and Sketch Challenge

Hope you all had an amazingly creative day!  This card is for two different challenges.  The first one is for Stamp TV…to use distress inks, and the second one is for Freshly Made Sketches #23.  This card even though it is rather simple took a very long time to put together.  I had to start over a couple of different times.  I got this amazing 3 panel Stamp and Stencil recently and was looking forward to inking it up!  It’s one of those purchases that you know will have endless possibilities!  Love that!

Thanks as always for paying me a visit!

Birthday Greetings

Hello fellow stampers…The card I have for you today is not for any Sketch challenge, Color Challenge or Accessories challenge…it’s just a card I  made for a friend of mine for her Birthday. Every once in awhile you have to be creative on your own…don’t you think?  Although I must say, I do better when I have something to inspire me!  I’m going to try and get better about listing my recipe for my card…wish me luck…it’s so hard for me because I am so not a label shopper…I never know who makes what…if I like it I just buy it!  LOL

Thanks for stopping in and have a great weekend!

(my weekend should be great and I will elaborate on that sometime next week) wink wink 🙂

Recipe:

Stamps: Verve-Circular Sayings

Paper: Colorbok, and SU

Ink: Stazon Black

Accessories: Gingham ribbon, brad, pop dots

Tools:MS scallop punch, circle punch, Cricut- Picturesque Cartridge

Don’t you just love those colors and what a terrific sketch!  That’s why I decided to pair the two together.  It has been a long time since I have participated in the Sketch challenge over at i{heart}2stamp with the very talented Jen Del Muro, and I always enjoy a good color challenge with the Color Throwndown ladies, they always have great color combinations.  Won’t you join me!

Have a fantastic day wherever and whatever you are creating,

Stampfest = Inspiration

I can’t begin to tell you how much fun it was going to Stampfest yesterday with my new friend Sue Morris!!  Neither one of us had ever been before and we got some really good toys and had a GREAT time!  I feel very blessed to have met her and am amazed with how much we have in common and how easy it is to talk with her.  It feels as if we have been friends forever!  We are already planning to go again next year.  I encourage you to go if you have never been!  Not only is Sue a good friend, but she is sooooooo talented herself!  She has inspired me to think outside my comfort zone and try my hand at some new techniques.  My cards are so predictable, and I don’t like that about them.  It’s time to shake it up a little bit. So here is my latest card inspired by Sue!  I am still not ready to dive into the Copic thing, so for now I am going to continue to work with Colored Pencil until I perfect my coloring skills.   I am pretty pleased with my card, love my new stamp, and am now going to enter it in the Freshly Made Sketches #21. Wish me luck!

Have a great Sunday my friends,
