Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative!

Less is More…

Good Day stampers…The card today is for the Less is More color challenge. The challenge is to use neutrals.  This could be anything from off white, black, beige, brown or grey.  I have chosen to use shades of brown. This card might look to some of you that it took a long time, but it really was very, very simple. For the embossed background…. I ran a piece of cream cardstock through my cuttlebug and then sponged it with Tea Dye Distress Ink    Then I made three flowers with my cricut (picturesque cartridge)…sponged them and gave them a little more detail with some colored pencil.  The petals are a MS punch, the Oval base was made with nestabilities and my cricut. Finish it off with some pop dots, ribbon and a nice sentiment!

Thanks so much for checking in!  There is still some time to join me over at Less is More!

Take care,

  1. Hi Nancy, it’s great that you joined us at “Less is More” although it appears that your lovely creation is decidedly More than Less!
We actually look for white space on submissions… areas of the card which are completely unadorned… and accompanying minimal layers and embellishments. DO join us again, we’d love to see more of your work, in the Clean and Simple genre.
    Thanks so much

  2. Wow! Nancy this looks fabulous. Love the colours and the embossing in the background gives it so much depth.
    Regards Florence.
