Another iSpy Sketch

It’s Spring Break and along with some time at the beach with Hubby and walks at the park I have managed to find time to be creative.  I was intrigued by the Sketch challenge this week at iSpy Sketches and was anxious to play along.  If you haven’t checked out their blog, you want to….you won’t be disappointed!

I made the flowers and butterfly with my cricut.  Not sure if you can tell, but I mimicked the DP by punching out circles and mounted the flowers on them and used pop dots to add some height.

Have a creative day,

Freshly Made #25

I so love playing with Freshly Made Sketches and I nearly missed this one.  I decided to try my hand at paper folding today, and made this flower on the card. Got the idea from Pinterest which links you here.  I want to give credit where credit is due! For my first attempt, it’s not so bad I guess.  I decided one of my goals is to put more detail into my cards and not be so predictable.  My sister always says that when she shops with me she knows what I am going to pick up before I do. She almost makes a game out of it to see if she is right.  LOL  My cards have become that same way too. Predictable!  Wish me luck to be more ‘surprising” so to speak.

This card is pretty easy to follow and I don’t think you need a ” recipe” so the only thing I would like to add is that when I was finished with the flower I added the dots on both shades of green paper to match the purple.  It helped a lot…I think!  OOPSSSS i just realized my ribbon is not exactly correct…..darn!  My photo is not as bright as normal…we got some much needed rain today and I had to take the photo inside.

Have a great week….I am on Spring Break now…yahooooo!

Pals Paper Arts and Stamp TV Challenge

Happy Beautiful Thursday morning my friends!  I have a quick post for you today!  We have all had those days when it’s time to post a card for a challenge and your not in love with it, and you think should I really post it?  Well, today is that day for me!  But I suppose you can’t love them all  now can you??  And that is part of the creative process.  The idea seemed to be formatting in my brain okay, but when it came down to putting it on paper..well it fell short.  I think what throws it off is that I sponged the paper flower with the same ink as the top panels of my card and the colors don’t look the same even though they are. :/  Anyhoo, this card is for the color challenge over at Pals Paper Arts.  Green…lots of green!  And the sentiment I just love it’s from Stamp TV’s Say it with Flowers.  It also cover the 3 for 3 challenge at Stamp TV.   The cardstock is GKD and the DP is from SU.  The ink is SU Kiwi Kiss and the cutouts were made with my Cricut- Pituresque cartridge.  The flowers on the top of the card are SU-Bitty Basics.

Thanks so much for all the comments as of late…I SOOOOOOO Appreciate it!!!

Less is More…

Good Day stampers…The card today is for the Less is More color challenge. The challenge is to use neutrals.  This could be anything from off white, black, beige, brown or grey.  I have chosen to use shades of brown. This card might look to some of you that it took a long time, but it really was very, very simple. For the embossed background…. I ran a piece of cream cardstock through my cuttlebug and then sponged it with Tea Dye Distress Ink    Then I made three flowers with my cricut (picturesque cartridge)…sponged them and gave them a little more detail with some colored pencil.  The petals are a MS punch, the Oval base was made with nestabilities and my cricut. Finish it off with some pop dots, ribbon and a nice sentiment!

Thanks so much for checking in!  There is still some time to join me over at Less is More!

Take care,

Eat Sleep and Stamp…

Eat, Sleep, Stamp…and repeat as needed….. LOL  Isn’t that a great title for a blog?  I am thrilled to have found this blog the other night as I was watching TV with hubby.  Am I the only one now that use to be content with just watching TV at night and now feel that I might be missing something very important on either a blog that I follow or on pinterest? So I do both, and here I sit again with a laptop on my lap. 🙂

Anyways, the real reason you stopped by was not to here about my addictions…lol.  This card as I mentioned is for a sketch challenge over at a blog I have never played at before called Eat, Sleep, Stamp!  Please go give the ESS Sketch #162 a try!  I hope its okay with the designer that I replaced the small rectangle with the ribbon!!! :/  Remember, Tracy will choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this week to be the next Sketch Artist.  Your design will also be featured on her blog next week!  Sounds great to me…won’t you join me?  Also, the sponging technique in the middle of this card was inspired by a video over at another site I spend far to much time on…Stamp TV. You can see the video here.  This sponging is fun to do and has limitless possibilities. Thanks Gina K!!

The recipe: Cardstock/ CM and GKD

Stamps:SU-Bitty Basics

Ink: Turquoise, Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Prima Flowers, ribbon, brads, pen

Tools: Fiskars victorian cutter, hole punch

{ISSC05} Just for You

Happy Sunday Stampers and Scrappers,  Todays card is for the Sketch challenge over at iSpy Sketches. The Special Agents (love that title) have hit it out of the park…they are a very talented group of ladies.  I have two different photos of my card to show you and the designers, my card has an open square in the middle with DP on the inside of the card which represents the brown square in the middle of the sketch.  I hope it’s still acceptable for the challenge!  The card base is one of those packs of blank cards that you can get a Michaels, it has an open square in the middle of the card.  Thought it might be fun to use it with this challenge.  I was right!

Thanks so much for visiting it really makes my day,

Recipe:

Paper: Michaels Cardstock, Making Memories DP (Lauren 6×6 pack)

Stamps: Michaels

Ink: Le plume pen- wine

Accessories: flowers( Michaels), punches, hole punch, brads

Black and White and Clean and Simple

Hello stampers, The card I am posting today is for Two challenges. The first one is over at Stamp TV. The challenge is to use Black and White and another color. Love using Black and White! And the sentiment on the card is from Stamp TV as well, and is called Timeless Treasures. And the second challenge is over at Clean and Simple and it’s a Sketch challenge. Hope you have time to join me at either challenge or maybe both! The men in my life are on the Golf course today so that gave me a little time to sneak away and stamp.

Our son is here for Spring Break and I am sooooooo happy to have him home!

Have an awesome weekend!
