Blog Inspired Card…

At Casual Friday’s they asked us to make a card inspired by our personal blog header.  Well, my blog is in the middle of a transition and the header I currently have is really, really boring!  But, I did what I was told…lol and decided to make a card using the Aqua color that you can see throughout.  Also, I was asked by a co-worker to design a Bridesmaid card…so I married the two challenges together…pun intended!  LOL  I didn’t have a lot of time to do this today so I think if I had to do it again I would add a little bit more detail on the flowers and maybe run them through my cuttlebug.  Hope she likes it!

If you have any questions…let me know!  Have a great week!

Handmade Chevron and a winner…

Hello Crafty peeps!  Today I decided to participate in the challenge over at The Pink Elephant and they asked us to use either Chevron or Hexagons in our design.  I thought it would be fun to make my own Chevron pattern.  It was so much fun to make I know that I will be doing this again!  It took a little longer than it should to make this card, but the results were worth it!  I distressed my papers with Chocolate SU ink.  The DP is a mixture of SU,Bazzill and Ki Memories. The sentiment is one I got a Michaels.  The rest was made with MS and SU punches.  Also, wanted to let you know that one of my latest cards was chosen as a Terrific Top 3 over at CR84FN.  I was so stoked this morning when I saw that!!  Love when that happens!

This is the card that won!

Birthday Candles

Hello Stampers,  Hope you are doing well today!  Today’s card was inspired by this card I found on pinterest.  I just loved it and couldn’t wait to CASE it!  Although, I am happy with my results…I still like the original one so much more!  I also wanted to incorporate it for this Sketch Challenge over at The Paper Players.  I flipped the sketch and my representation of the circle in the card is a little farther away then the sketch and I used a corner punch!  Hopefully that will be okay with the Ladies of the Paper Players.  The green paper on my card I made with a stamp and the sentiment is from a grab bag… so I don’t know the company it comes from ( sorry about that).  The dp and the rest of the paper is SU, CM or scraps. Used chocolate brown ink for distressing and added some ribbon and some bling and there you go!

Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day!

So Grateful….

Happy Monday folks!  Today’s card was inspired first by the Color Challenge over at the Friday Mashup…as soon as I saw that beautiful fall tree I knew I wanted to play along!  After I picked my color scheme I went surfing for a Sketch.  I found a great one over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge…( however I may have gotten carried away with my stars and stepped a little to far out of the main sketch zone) Oops! Hope that doesn’t disqualify me! :/  Finally, I entered this card in a Fall Friends challenge over at Stamp TV…they asked us to make a Fall card and make sure I mail it to a friend right away!  You ever go to the trouble of making these fabulous cards and they just sit in your room unsent?  LOL

The stamps that I used are all from Gina K Designs over at Stamp TV, the cardstock is a mix of CM,SU,Bazzill and scrap.  The stars and the whimsical swirls were made with my Cricut! Some pearls for an added touch and Ta-DA…a card is born!  ok…kinda corny I know!

I have some Super Exciting news to share with you very, very soon!  So stay tuned!

Happy Stamping!

Treasure…

This is Theresa Momber’s Fabulous card!

Challenges:

It’s Sunday evening….eeks…where did the weekend go!  While I was home watching some football I played in the studio for a bit and this is what I came up with!  It’s not a typical “Nancy” card….but we have to go out of our comfort zone once in a while.  What sparked the idea of this card is a challenge over at Stamp TV.  They aksed us to CASE the uber talented Theresa Momber!  She is one of the most talented ladies I follow and if you look at her blog you will most certainly agree. She also designed this stamp set that I am using. I almost ran out just to buy gold ribbon today because I had NONE…cause that is what the card needed.  I soon realized hubby had the car and that was not an option!  So I made due!  I am also entering this card in 2 other challenges…Freshly Made Sketches sketch of the week and The Pink Elephant Monochromatic Challenge. I distressed all my papers with Tim Holtz Wild honey ink and embossed the sentiment and the outside of the Cameo with gold embossing powder.  It doesn’t look gold in the photo though!  It’s a deeper gold than I wanted, but then again it’s all I had.  The cameo was stamped twice so that I could layer one inside of the other.  I used some prisma colored pencils to color in the cameo.  Added the ribbon, flower and gems and there you have it!

Hope you have a great start to the work week!

Take care,

I Miss You Like Crazy…

I made this card this afternoon after I completed the usual Saturday chores.  Love when you get and idea and things come together!  I am going to enter it into three different challenges.  First, the sketch challenge over at iSpy Sketches and Secondly, the color challenge over at CR84FN. And Last its for the Any Hero Challenge over at OWH.  If you are not familiar with OWH…go check it out!  It’s an amazing way to say Thanks to the Troops!!  Let me tell you a little bit about how it came together.  Once I picked out the DP (Creative Memories) and the colored card stock which is a mix of CM, SU and Bazzil I took my star stamp from SU and stamped on the tan card stock.  Then I added some distressing with SU Chocolate Ink. Used my Cricut to cut out most of my stars along with a SU scalloped punch. Made the ribbons with scissors and the sentiment is from Verve and is called Heartfelt Phrases. The tag die cut is from My Favorite Things.

Finished it off with a button and some twine and Wolaaaa!

Hope you have a great Sunday…It’s time to watch some Football…GO FSU!!!!

It’s a type of Tri-fold card just like my last Halloween card from a few days ago!

Love the close up of the pumpkin!

I took my little letter stamps and stamped them on cardstock in a up and down pattern…

then took a ruler and a black pen and added the outline to define the sign so I could cut it out. Hope that makes sense!

Some details:  The cardstock and DP is mostly Creative Memories, the Happy Halloween I made with some letter stamps I have had for a long time.

Used my Scallop Nestabilities from GKD… add some MS punch leaves and some twine and some black ink for added effects and there you have it!

Halloween Time

Yes, If you can believe it…Halloween is not that far away and as you surf the internet, pinterest or Facebook you are starting to see witches, ghosts and bats popping up all over the place.

Also,  I am on board with some friends over at Stamp TV and we have a Halloween Blog Hop coming up this Friday the 21st, so I thought this weekend I would get my creative juices flowing in that direction.

Which leads me to the card I have for you today!

I took three different shots of this card so that you may have a better idea of how it opens. It’s a type of Tri fold, and if you have any questions just shoot me a message!

I myself don’t have a lot of Halloween stamps so I asked around at work (what teacher doesn’t have Halloween stamps lying around.) and this is what I came up with.

I used some of my Prisma colored pencils, a black marker for added details, and some neon gems to finish it off.

I am entering this in the color challenge over at Dynamic Duos to use Lucky Limeade and Basic Black. Why not jump on board and join us at the DD!!

Hope you have a great week,
