Hello friends…. I think I have finally recuperated from all the late nights while my son was home for Thanksgiving Break. I don’t think we ever went to bed earlier than 1 am the entire time he was home. Some nights it was more like 2 or 2:30. I think he was trying to convert us to the college life! LOL We had the most amazing time when he was here! Hope your Thanksgiving was just as memorable!
Today’s card is for a new challenge blog I stumbled upon called The Creative Card Crew. This week’s theme is Anything Goes! Gotta love that! So I pulled out this card from the archives that I have never posted before and thought I would enter it over at their site! I have made a Baby card similar to this one in the past before. This card was sent out to my nephew and his wife about a week or so ago, before they found out the sex of the baby! Hence why I used yellow and greens!
Hope you have an amazing day!
Thanks for paying me a visit…. I so appreciate it when you drop by!
Hello Stampers, While life is good and this mom is so at peace knowing her son is in the next room sleeping the morning away, I thought I would take this opportunity to make a card. When I saw this color combo over at The Play Date Cafe earlier in the week I knew I wanted to play along. The colors look amazing together! So I paired that up with a great sketch challenge over at Freshly Made and this is what I came up with!
The sentiment is from Verve (love it) and the Musical paper I made with a stamp and then ran in through my cuttlebug using my new favorite Spellbinders.
Used a MS punch for the center band and my cuttlebug for parts of the flowers, the leaves and the flower staff (not sure what else to call it) then some Prima flowers and gems.
Forgot to mention some dot embossing!
Hope you have an amazing weekend and before I go……

With Thanksgiving right around the corner and those cards have been received (I Hope). I thought it was time to jump right into Winter Wishes! Since most of the country is feeling the cold by now, I thought it would be fun to break out the snowflakes. Here in Florida the 7 day forecast is absolutely amazing. Lows in the mid 50’s and high’s in the mid 70’s! And an added bonus is that they gave us the entire week off of school this year for Thanksgiving Break instead of the typical 3 days! WooHOO! And the icing on the cake is my son Tyler will be home TONIGHT! It’s been almost 6 months since he has been in this house! He’s beyond excited and so are we! Okay, you didn’t stop by my blog to hear about the weather, my time off work, or my personal life……so let’s get on with it!
Today’s color palette was inspired by The Dynamic Duos. I intended on making 1 card with the colors they had selected and ended up making 3, but each slightly different. The first one is the one I am linking up to their blog entries for this week, cause it’s the only one that I actually incorporated black in. The sketch layout is for Ispy Sketches number 42.
The next card is for the Deconstructed sketch No. 78. I haven’t had as much opportunity lately to play along with them, and feel like I have been missing something special. So glad I didn’t miss this one! It’s also being entered in the Casual Friday’s Winter Blues Challenge. Love those Girl Fridays!
And the last card was inspired by all of the rest and was made for no in particular challenge just for me! LOL Isn’t that Polar Bear so cute!
Hope you liked them!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I feel very blessed to have you all here following me! Thank you so much!
If you don’t hear from me over the next few days….. I am enjoying some time off with my son! One Happy Girl!

Happy Sunday Stampin Friends, Today is a gorgeous day in Sunny Florida and as soon as I finish this post I am headed to the outdoors to soak up some Vitamin D.
Yesterday wasn’t as pretty, so I played in my studio for the afternoon and came up with these 3 cards that all were based on this new set of leaf stamps.
It’s made by Cloud Nine Design and has 11 wonderful stamps of all shapes and sizes!
Howdy Ho, Hope you are having a fantastic week and have found some time I’ve your own to be creative! Luckily this week has been good to me and I managed to stow away last night in my room again and play some more. 🙂 This card was made for a new challenge site I stumbled upon this week. It’s called the Anything Goes Challenge Blog. This week their challenge is to incorporate Stitching either Real or Faux. I went with Faux, but I think that’s pretty obvious!
The main stamp is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is something I picked up from Michaels.
Paper is a mixture of CM, SU, Bazzil. The DP is questionable???
Used my cuttlebug with some embossing folders and a spellbinder for my sentiment.
Added some Prima Flowers, flower punch, ribbon and a button!
Everytime I here that phrase Hang In There…I think of the poster I had in my room when I was little girl with the kitty hanging from the tree holding on for dear life! LOL I bet some of you know exactly what I am referring to!
Anyways, this card is for the color challenge over at The Dynamic Duos (where else) and it’s also for the challenge over at The Pink Elephant to use punches or Dies on your card or project.
On this particular card I used 3 different types of Dies from My Favorite Things. Two different scalloped edges and this really cool Leafy Flourish. These are some of the best Die’s I have ever purchased! You need them trust me!
The paper used is from Stampin Up.
The flower stamp is also Stampin up and from a set called Doodle This.
I stamped three images, cut them out and flipped them over as to not to see the details of the stamp and more of a die cut effect.
As hubby and I were shopping today of course there is Christmas music playing already in the stores, we heard White Christmas by Bing Crosby, but as I listened in closely my husband was singing it like Elmer Fudd. LOL Hence my title Merry Twistmas. So since that seemed to get me in the spirit, I came home and finished up my first Holiday card of the season! The layout was inspired by this week’s Sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches! The colors are a mix of the traditional red and green with a little pink thrown in. I think it works well…what do you think? If you have any questions on this card …please ask away!
Hello! Today’s card was colored up with some Prisma Colored pencils for the Pink Elephant Challenge and designed for the sketch challenge over at Unscripted Sketches. At the Pink Elephant they asked us to use our favorite coloring medium and Prisma Colored Pencils works best for me! Isn’t my image of this little kangaroo adorable? I stumbled upon him from at site called Angles Landing. They have so many cute animals over there…. you should check them out! While your at it stop on by the Pink Elephant and look at all the designers coloring work! Amazing!
Hope you have an amazing rest of the week and start to a great weekend! The weather here should be fabulous once again!
Bloom Where You Are Planted……Isn’t that a great phrase! On today’s card I started with finding myself a color palette…and the one I decided to use is from the Dynamic Duos. It’ rare when I don’t participate in their challenges! Love them! I highly recommend giving them a looksie~
I have never used pre-made die-cut on my cards before, but I guess there is a first time for everything! I felt as if I was cheating. LOL I got this great box of paper and matching die-cuts as a gift from a friend years ago and opened it up last night and decided to give it a go! I usually save things like this for scrapbooking. I think the card came together nicely when I added all the extra detail.
Added detail : I used my cricut, spellbinders, ribbon, prima flowers, MS punch and brads to finish it off. If you have any questions…don’t hesitate to ask!
