Good Day Blogging Friends….My first card for 2013 is all about LOVE.
As I was working in my studio yesterday and was discussing life and my card making addiction with myself,
I thought….. Nancy how are you going to make 2013 a turning point for you in the Crafting blogosphere and in your personal life?
And the word LOVE kept coming to mind.
Whether it’s at home, at work, in the neighborhood, sending a card, buying flowers, baking for someone …it all comes back to LOVE.
So I am going to share with you my 2 Resolutions for 2013 in hopes that it will give me a gentle reminder of my intentions
and keep me focused on what is really important.
And that is
LOVE
My New Year’s Resolution for 2013 is
Doing for Others
If that doesn’t scream LOVE than nothing else does!
My Resolution for my Personal Hobby/Addiction is
To get selected for another Design Team that I currently follow and adore and
to get one or more of my cards Published in a Magazine.
This also screams LOVE because I love making cards!
Thanks for letting me share that with you in hopes to keep me more accountable!
Now onto some details on today’s card which is the real reason you stopped in!
I started of the New Year playing with two of my favorite challenge sites.
Freshly Made sketches and CR84FN.
Both these sites have great inspiration and always help get my MOJO going!
Card Details:
I took a nail file to my cardstock after I ran it through the SU Lattice Embossing folder so that I would get the texture I wanted.
The paper I was using has a white center so when you rub on it with a nail file it comes off. LOVE this technique!!!
Did the same thing with the smaller heart around it’s edges…it almost looks as if I took a white pen to it and outlined it, but I really didn’t.
There are a lot of layers on the front panels of this card!
In the photo the Lavender looks a little grey…but trust me it’s not
Cardstock: Gina K Designs
Paper: DCWV, Colorbok and scrap
Stamps: Block Letters
Acc: pop dots and string
Tools: MS Punch- Heart Border
Cricut :- Hearts
Cuttlebug to emboss the paper
Let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great Weekend!

Hi Nancy! I was reading another blog this morning that was talking about not making resolutions but picking one word to follow for the year. You picked a great one! I think my word might be ‘retirement”. LOL! I would so love to quit working and make cards all day. Wonderful card! Love the colors and layout. Wishing you a very Happy New year and luck on your resolutions!
