Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Quick Birthday Wishes!

Just 3 more days and my Spring Break begins!  Yahoo!

The kids are ready too….let me tell you!

Today’s card was made for a wonderful neighbor of ours

for his 87th Birthday!  He is one of a kind!

When my son was younger, they were always together either fishing or talking!

I hope he knows how special he is to all of us

on his Birthday and all the year through!

I am linking this card up to the sketch challenge over at

Just add Ink.

(Oops…just realized my second set of flags is on the wrong panel) 😦

Enjoy your night!

What’s Shakin?

Happy Monday…

Is there such a thing?

Today’s card is based on a very

interesting sketch over at CAS(E) this sketch!

It intrigued me so much that I decided I must not miss it!

Although, I am not sure the photo does the card justice,

it looks a lot better in person!  Trust me!

The rabbit and sentiment is from Verve and I absolutely love it!

What's shakin

It was one of the very first stamps I purchased from Verve

and certainly not the last.

If you have never heard of Verve, I have linked it

up for you… so you MUST have a looksie!

The DP is from My Minds Eye.

What little bit of coloring I did…was done with my Spectrum Noir pens.

Have a wonderful day!

A CAS Happy Birthday

Spring is coming soon, although you wouldn’t know it right now here in sunny Florida.

We are having a major cold snap this weekend. Brrrrr.  Since it was so

cold outside,  I had a major excuse to hibernate in my studio.

Today’s post is for our 3rd challenge over at CAS on Sunday.

The theme this week is Birthday, and

that should be simple enough for you!

This week’s challenge is being sponsored by SK Digis.

They have some super adorable images over there!!

I have recently just purchased a few for my self!

Here is my card:

Birthday CAS

I have been wanting to use this branch and bird from my Cricut-Pictuersque cartridge for quite sometime,

and I finally got around to it!  I can honestly say the card was really quick to put together

and that is saying a lot for me, because I am never quick!

I ran the blossoms for the branch through my Cuttlebug using the Square Lattice-SU Embossing folder.

Added some pop dots for some dimension under my bird,

stamped the Michaels sentiment in Chocolate Chip SU ink,

added the ribbon, rounded the corners and I was done.

Hope you have a terrific Sunday and find some time to

play along with us at CAS on Sunday!

MUSE- A source of Inspiration!

Good Morning,

I am Super excited today to share with you my card, but not only that….

I found one of the coolest new Creative Challenge sites to play along with a few weeks ago,

and I can’t wait to share it with you!  It is called MUSE!

At the top of their blog they have the definitions for Muse.

One of them states: A source of Inspiration!

Isn’t that so cool!!!  Jackie Rockwell is the brains behind this blog

and another one that I love called CASE(E) this Sketch.

and I haven’t even told you the best part yet!

Here are their 3 simple rules over at Muse:

*Use the Muse card as inspiration, explain your interpretation and link back to Muse.
*Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow member’s submissions.
*Vote for 3 of your fellow member’s submissions that you find inspiring.
Isn’t that so cool!!!  We the blog followers get to vote!
I don’t know about you but, I think that was pure Genius!
So here is my first card that I am linky over at Muse this morning!
I was determined last night to not miss this opportunity again!
I used my Scor-pal to mimic the box in the design!
I also, stamped the pink flower twice and only raised part
of the petals the on the second image!
Muse 6
And here is the source of inspiration!
Isn’t it Beautiful!!!
Which was to incorporate at least 3 buttons in your project.
It was hosted by someone I adore and admirer and
I wanted to make sure I played along!
I can never miss a Mix it Up Monday Challenge …They are always so much fun!
Also, I used one of my FAVORITE GKD Stamp sets….
Hugs and Prayers for this card!
This is also my final post over at Crafty Card Gallery as I am the host this week!
I am thrilled you stopped by…make sure you check out all the sites that I linked up for you!
You won’t be disappointed!
