Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative!

JUGS #188

Long Post…stick with me!

What a crazy week we have had at the Leppek house!

Quick re-cap to explain my LACK of posts!

Last Friday, we moved my son from Tally to home for the summer

(Insert major happy face here!)

and while we were putting things in the storage shed

he cut his hand on a piece of aluminum siding…

off to the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital for stitches.  Then my Uncle

who was visiting from out of town broke his hip on Sunday 3 hours

after he arrived….. off to the Hospital again.  Finally, on Tuesday my dad

took a terrible fall and has road rash all over his body,

stitches on his hand, along with a fractured

collarbone…off to the Hospital again.

I wish I had time to go into more details about

how my father was 1/2 mile from home and

managed to walk all the way back after he had fallen,

while bleeding profusely…..

but that is really not why you are here….now is it?

So that sums up why I have been so QUIET lately!

Things will probably remain rather quiet

for a little while longer until my dad can

take better care of himself.

But enough of that…let’s get to the GOOD stuff!

This week Tangii from the JUGS team has a wonderful technique for us to try.

Here is what I did with it!

It appears that I used a dusty blue pencil on my card…but I promise I didn’t.  It’s WHITE!

Although, I decided to capitalize on that color and used it behind the sentiment.

Cardstock: SU

Stamps: Wild Rose Background

Ink: Color Box White

White Prisma Colored pencil

Tools: SU punch

Acc: Pink ribbon and Pop dots

I so appreciate all my followers and my visitors ….

you make my day….. and all of this worth while!

The rest of the  JUGS team has some wonderful samples to get your inspiration going,

so just pop on over to the Just Us Girls blog, and check out what the Design Team has created.

Then put your creativity to work and add your card/project to the

challenge post on the JUGS blog for the chance to be selected as Chic of the Week.

Hope you have a great day!

  1. I love that white stamping on black. I think I need a different white ink to do that. I understand about your Dad. My Mom called me yesterday to say Dad was on the floor in the kitchen and couldn’t get up. He’s 97, has had 2 hip replacements and uses a walker. Once I put his shoes on, he could get a little traction and with a lot of work and my help, he got upright. Whew! Hopefully things will calm down for you soon.

  2. Oh yep love the card! Terrible “hospital needs” for you this week – they say it comes in 3’s — you’re done now [hopefully] 🙂
