Mixed Media and Watercoloring….

Don’t you just love the colors of fall?

As soon as I saw these colors of the latest challenge over at A Mixed Media Color Challenge,

I knew I wanted to find the time to play along.

AMMCC10 Graphic

Luckily today I found the time!

I haven’t produced anything lately that I have been happy with, so when I started

to dive in today…I assumed I would probably have the same outcome.

Luckily, I was wrong!  I am happy with this card…..YEAH!!!  It’s been far to long

since I have felt that way!!!  I’m back….I hope it’s not temporary!!! LOL

Anyhoo, get on with it Nancy!!

Here is where I got my inspiration for my card, I can take credit for the details…not the idea!

Here is the link!

Pitterpatterart

Isn’t it amazing!!!

Here are a couple quick photos that I took along the way.

collage

First I took my Stampin Up watercolor pen and watercolored Calypso Coral on watercolored paper.

I saw my border punch and thought it would make a great stencil.  Sure enough did! LOL

Then I added a script and a brick stamp ( which I practically covered up entirely with my flower).

Then I took my Stampin UP large blossom punch and punched a bunch of petals.

I added texture, stamps and embossing to any of them that didn’t have a pattern already

Took some brown stain from hubby’s shed and stained my wooden heart and then added the letters.

The sentiment (thinking and you) is from Close to My Heart.

The rest is pretty straight forward and doesn’t need much explaining.

I am also linking this us pt the watercoloring challenge over at Eclectic Paper.

eteampicks

I have never played along with them before…but love love their products!!!

I have linked it up for you!

Hope you have a wonderful week!

I sure hope I find some more time to create this week, don’t want

to risk loosing my mojo again!

Take care,

Nanc’

Breast Cancer Month and My Mom

IMG_0001

( my photos are still not coming out great…UGH!!! )

Today over at CAS on Sunday we have a great Sketch for you to try!

CAS

In Honor of October being Breast Cancer month….I decided it was

time to make a card in honor of my mother.  Who in fact

had beaten breast cancer earlier in her life, but unfortunately passed away from a ovarian cancer

later in life.  She died at the age of 62, far to young!

IMG_0707

Isn’t she beautiful?  This photo was taken right before she was married.

I miss her as much today as I did 20 years ago.

I am going to send this card to a friend who is battling this horrific disease right now!

I hope it helps in some small way!

We have a sponsor and a great prize that is up for grabs over at

CAS on Sunday!

I hope you come on over and join us…we would love to have you!

Card details:

Here is a photo of what I did to make the word hope.

IMG_0002

I took various strips of pink and glued them down on a pink piece of paper

and then cut it out using my Cuttlebug.

Love this look!

The die cuts used for this card are from Paper Smooches.

The banner die at the bottom is from Verve.

I used Sizzix Framelits from SU for my shape and raised

the panel up with pop dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by…..I love when you do it really makes my day!

Fall Photo Inspiration

IMG_0002

Marisa picked out this photo for us this week over at Just Us Girls.

Isn’t it just gorgeous!!!  I would love to eat there for Thanksgiving…wouldn’t you?

I don’t feel like I did this photo justice this time….so sorry Marisa!

I have been under the weather for about 2 weeks now, and I just had to

keep it clean and simple this time.

Have you seen the Painter’s Tape Technique that is all over Pinterest and youtube?

I however, learned it from my Stampin Up Rep last month…Thanks DEBBIE!!!!!

I linked it up for you!  It’s so fun and ridiculously so EASY!!!

The ink is all Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Verve

and the leaf is from Cloud Nine Design.

Now please head on over to JUGS and see what my teammates did with this gorgeous photo this week!

Welcome my faithful friends and visitors!

Hope your having a great week so far!  It’s almost Friday so hang in there!

Today’s card is for the latest challenge over at Seize the Birthday!

just as long as it’s Birthday related!

So put your creative “Birthday” caps on an come join me!

Today’s card is something I started with my card club a few weeks back

and never got around to completing.

You know girls…once they get together we do more

chatting then we do stamping.  But a girl has to have some girl time now again …don’t we?

So, I can’t take credit for the layout or complete design of this card!

However, I did change it up quite a bit and gave it my own flair when I got home!

All the products you see are Stampin Up, except for the birthday sentiment, which is Verve!

I literally photographed this card about 40 times and I am still unhappy with it!

So frustrating!!  Do you ever have times when feel  your camera has been

messed with by gremlins in the night?

One day my photos are fine and the next time terrible!  UGH!

Please drop on over to Seize the Birthday and see what my creative team has done,

and if you just so happen to make a Birthday something in the next two weeks….

come on over at link it up with us!

Take care and happy creating,

Nanc’

For my card I used mostly Stampin Up products.

The Get Well sentiment is also SU, but I bought that separately.

The mason Jar, I just LOVE, but I don’t know who makes it,

I bought it at a privately owned stamping store!

Crafty Card Gallery and more…

Hello Crafters,

I am here today with a very Clean and Simple card for you

along with a very quick post!

IMG_0006

Over at the Crafty Card Gallery the team was asked to make a fall card with

a pumpkin or orange on it.  Being that I only have one pumpkin stamp…

and I recently used it, ( god for bid I use it again…so soon) lol….. I thought I would go ahead

and make a fall card with orange on it instead!

The stamps are a mixture of Gina K, Close to My Heart, and Stampin Up.

Finished it off with…. pop dots, some twine, a button and some bling!

I am also linking this card up to the following challenges:  Addicted to CAS…..

the code word for ACAS this time is…

ATCAS - code word autumn

Along with CASology where their cue card is……

Week 65 - Crisp

Have a great Hump Day!
