Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Buttons and Rhinestones

Hello Friends,

Today over at Seize the Birthday our toppings option is…

Buttons or Rhinestones!

STB Toppings

We also have to say Goodbye to one of our talented DT members..

Sheri Gilson

Thanks for everything Sheri…you will be truly missed!

Here is what I did this week!

I had a blast making this card!

The flower image is from SU (Thoughts and Prayers set),

and embossed with white embossing powder.

After that, I took my Spectrum Noir pens and colored the flowers

and left the leaves and stems alone.

Finished off the centers with some rhinestones.

The sentiment and the flower is from Verve!

The stem is a die cut from MFT.

The photo doesn’t do this card justice…it’s actually prettier in person! ¬†Trust me!

Hope you join us this week over at Seize the Birthday and show us your Buttons or Bling,

or if your not a toppings kinda person…just any Birthday creation will do!

Take care,

  1. What a gorgeous card you created and whether it is rhinestones or buttons, I always find they dress up a card a lot!

  2. I don’t know how it could be more beautiful in person. It’s spectacular as it is.

  3. Beautiful card! The colors are so striking against the black. I have to try coloring embossed images with Sprectrum Noir pens. I would have never thought of that.

  4. Wow, I agree with Judy (above), this is so striking against the black cardstock! That image from Thoughts & Prayers is one of my favorites…we used it yesterday at the card event I attended.

  5. Love your colours. Great card.
Congratulations on the honour over at Stamp TV as well. I’ll look forward to following you during April!

  6. Just gorgeous Nancy, I love those vivid colours against the black. They really pack a visual punch!
