Hello Friends,
Over at Just Us Girls this week it’s Cheryl’s turn and it’s week 2
(Trend Week) and she has asked us to incorporate
woodgrain in our card and or project.
Here are a few card details:
I heat embossed my SU flowers with white embossing powder.
The buttons and flower centers are a die cut from MFT that I adore and
don’t use enough, which will be changing for sure!
My Woodgrain panel is covered up quite a bit
but was stamped with SU- Wisteria Wonder. I did the
masking technique once again and that is how I got the perfect white border around it.
The leaves were left over from a previous JUGS challenge
of the kissing technique. I fussy cut them out.
Lots of pop dots and a tag made with my SU tag punch and it’s
embossed as well with a scallop…but you can barely see it.
The rest of the JUGS team along with our new, July Guest Designer-Rebekka Reed,
have some wonderful samples to get your inspiration going, so head on over to the Just Us Girls blog
and check out what they’ve created. Simply create a card using the sketch and link
it up to the JUGS blog for a chance to be chosen as the Chic of the Week.
Remember, if you are chosen as Chic of the Week you could be invited to be a Guest Designer.
One more thing!
I am also entering my card over at Colour Me.
However, now that I have read the fine print of their challenge
I may not qualify because I used two shades of Purple on my card
and I don’t believe that is allowed. It’s all good anyways!
I enjoyed looking at all of the DT’s creations and it
helped inspire me to create mine! So all in all it’s a Win!
Have a fantastic day and hope to see you over at JUGS!

Hi Nancy 🙂 What a wonderful card, I especially loved the flowers which you heat embossed on the vellum. Such a neat little detail. And as for the used colors: as long as the Colour Me…! challenge colors are predominant in your card, you are fine even if you use another color as well 🙂
Thank you for playing along with us at Colour Me…! this week!
