Hello Friends, Just got back from a wonderful trip to Michigan for my niece’s wedding! The weather wasn’t the best as it rained on the wedding day,but the family and fun sure made up for it! She did an incredible job with the decorations. I was so impressed!! Not only were we put to work on the wedding ( which I loved every minute of) We also ended up having 3 parties at the house. I haven’t played so hard in I don’t know how long! We played every sport you can imagine and even made up some of our own. Anyhoo, all good things must come to and end!
Today over at Seize the Birthday our topping is Red White and Blue to help celebrate the upcoming 4th of July! I made two cards for this challenge. However, I couldn’t get either photo that I was content with, but was running low on time as I just took the photos this morning. I wanted to try out my new Brick Wall embossing folder from Stampin Up and thought it would be fun to use some embossing paste too! I hope you can see the effect I was going for. I wanted the red brick wall to just be peeking through the embossing paste speratically. The flower and sentiment on both cards are from Verve’s Poppy Birthday set! I Love this set!!
Here is the other card which I actually made first! I didn’t realize the embossing paste would cause the ink to run underneath…but I kinda like the effect. It is hard to see the lines from the Brick EF on this card, but they are there. The script background sentiment is a stamp I couldn’t live with out!
I wish I had more time, but this post goes live in a matter of minutes!
Hope to see you over at Seize the Birthday sometime over the next couple of weeks!
So see you again soon, it’s time to go tackle that laundry basket! Nanc’
