Hello Friends, I spent some more time in my studio again over the weekend as the deluge of rain has not let up as of yet. Today (Monday) we got an additional 3 inches of rain to an already saturated ground. They promise that tomorrow the sun is going to shine, but we all are a little skeptical at this point. So speaking of rain. I decided to embrace the weather and make a card to match what was going on outside and bring it inside. Isn’t that little duck the sweetest thing you have ever laid eyes on? I just love him and glad he found his way into my shopping cart a few weeks ago. I made the mistake of stamping him on my square white cardstock before I had the for thought to sponge a light blue sky, so I had to make a mask so as to not ruin him. Then after all that, I decided to color another one anyway as I wasn’t completely happy with my first attempt. So, he is essentially paper pieced as well. I have him sitting in a puddle of water and thought it was a little to much water and decided to add some (MFT) grass as well. Mr. Ducky is colored with Spectrum noir pens and colored pencil. The clouds and rain drops are from Lawn Fawn. Hubby made a great suggestion, he said my raindrops are to perfectly placed, they should be over-lapping one another. He makes a valid point…..that he does!!! Grr…….LOL Well, there is always next time. I kept this card sentiment free, as I am not quite sure who will be the lucky recipient. Take care! Nanc’
I am entering this card into these challenges: The Paper Players and The Friday Mashup where they both want a square card this week.

I am sorry that you are getting rained on. We have had some really nice sunny weather here for the last 17 days in a row. I think that we broke records. But this little duck is so cute and your card is just filled with cuteness. He even looks a little sad that he is getting rained on too. Cheer up birthday sister! soon we will be a year older.

That is so adorable and so sorry you are getting deluged with rain. We are in not too bad a shape and hope it holds off until we get the wheat harvest in. But I just think that is such a darling card you created and at least it makes for good crafting time when you are stuck indoors.

I love how your card is influenced by the weather (happens to be often as well). So cute! Thanks for joining the Friday Mashup this week.

Such a sweet card. Love that cute duck and your rain drops. I know what you mean about the rain, but it sounds like you have gotten more than we did. Hope you have a bright sunny day today.
Hugs, JoAnn
