CASE (ing) Myself!

Screen Shot 2015-07-21 at 2.44.37 PMHello Friends,  Today’s card is a CASE of myself as it is the first week of school for me and I am bone tired and my son is moving to Seattle Washington (insert major sad face with tears).  Ty and I have a very special and unique relationship, and to say this is going to be a major adjustment for me is probably an understatement. He is going to go to work for Amazon’s corporate office and they are even offering him an awesome relocation package. He leaves very soon and there has been so much to do.  I’m not having to lift a finger, he is so self sufficient for a 22 year old and I couldn’t be more proud of him. I do have an important job though, I have been assigned the task to lay awake at night and think of all the things he can take with him or may have forgotten to ask about on previous phone conversations with the movers.  So I decided, Nancy you don’t have time to think of something new to make, so why not CASE yourself…so I did!

Below is a photo of my previous card and the link for more info!

dsc_0049Hate to make this short…but it’s late and it’s been a long week!  Come on over to Just Us Girls and see what our Guest Designer Karen and the team came up with!

Take care and remember if my blog is quiet over the next two weeks…. I am either soaking my back and feet in the tub after a long day at work or I am spending every possible minute I can with my amazing son before he leaves to the other side of the continent!  Nanc’

  1. I love the card design. Looks so perfect for autumn.

  2. Beautiful cards, love the colors in your new version! That birdie is super tweet! 😉 No words on the moving child situation…..other than it sucks…..big time! I also only have a one and only and if she moved further away I may have to relocate lol Just a thought!

  3. Stunning color combo will keep in mind as more falling cards are required for this coming fall. Enjoy your time with ty seattle is NOT the other side! ☺ its only a planeride away

  4. CASEing yourself can be a good thing, Nancy. I’m considering redos on some of my cards. Take is easy. I know. Easier said than done but it will all come together.

  5. Loved the original card, but your cased card is just as spectacular! Beautiful cards both! Hang in there, Seattle is just a plane ride away!

  6. Love that gorgeous background and the beautiful colors! Nicely done!

  7. Fabulous leaf bg and mix of colours. Love that cute Verve birdie too 😉

  8. Very pretty card and it is o.k. to CASE yourself. I know you have been busy with school starting and then with Ty’s move adds to it. I will be thinking of you. (((Hugs)))

  9. Gorgeous card Nancy. Great idea to case yourself. There are so many we make that we like but never get around to doing them again. Enjoy your time with Ty and as Vicki said – only a plane ride away. I have one daughter at the top end of Queensland where I live and the other is on the other side of Australia – so far away it seems. Get all the HUGS you can.

  10. Great job CAS’ing yourself and great idea! Love the leaves and colors!

  11. This is beautiful! I love the color combo and that adorable little bird. I feel your pain, when my son moved out east it felt like he was moving to the other side of the planet. Hugs!

  12. Your card is just as pretty as the original! Good luck with your school year (we won’t have kids until after Labor Day). And even though it’s difficult to let your son go, it will be good for him! Congrats to him on getting a great job!

  13. Such a gorgeous card Nancy. Loving the oak leaves and the birdie is a lovely touch.
