Free! Verve-Latte Love Digi Set!

DSC_0102

Hello Friends,  I had a terrific time on Sunday getting crafty while it was raining outside.  I just love when the weather works out according to my plans, so I don’t feel guilty about being in my studio when it’s nice outside.  Today’s post is pretty chock full, so please bear with me!  Julee Tilman over at the Verve Store has this Fabulous FREE Latte Love Digi Set for all of us to enjoy!  Don’t delay, as it is only available for a short time.  Thanks Julee!!!  I absolutely love it and couldn’t wait to print it out and get to work.  I am linking this card up to quite a few Challenges! The first is the Verve Inspiration Challenge for the month of September. Next, is for the 4th Viva la Verve Sketch of the month.  Next, is the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, that I am sure you have run into in blog land recently. And last but not least, I am back playing again this week with Just Add Ink where they asked us to use our 3 favorite colors.  This is definitely one of my all time favorite combinations!  I looked at all the rules and regulations on all of the Challenges and I don’t believe I have violated any of them by linking to 4 challenges, at least I sure hope not!

Here are a few Card Details and another view of my card: I used water colored paper and and inked up and spritzed water on my Embossing Folder to get the effect I was looking for the background leaf paper. I colored the coffee cups with my Prisma Colored pencils.  I spattered the same 3 colors of ink onto my sentiment panel.  The heart die is also from Verve and is a must have! I distressed all the edges with my SU distresser. Added the ribbon and the button brad to finish it off.  Excuse the ribbon….. I had it adhered them both to my card in two continuous loops and didn’t like it at all.  So I decided to cut them while they were already in place, which explains why they are so short and are clearly the back of the ribbons, as there are no dots showing on parts of them.  Epic fail there!  Other then that….Love…..Love my card!

Thanks so much for sticking with me today for my long post!  I sure appreciate you stopping by! Nanc’

Photo Inspiration @ JUGS!

DSC_0081

Screen Shot 2015-08-13 at 10.37.57 PMHello Friends,  It’s time for a new Photo Inspiration Challenge over at Just Us Girls.  And it’s also time to bid a fond farewell and Thank You to our Guest Designer Melissa Dawn Lane!  It’s been a pleasure working with you this month Melissa, and we hope to see you again in our gallery very soon.  This card came together rather quickly although now I wish I would have thrown in some green as my fellow teammates have done.  Here are a few details:  The floral stamp is something I picked up at Michaels.  The button center dies are from MFT.  The sentiment is from Verve. The twine I just picked up last weekend at Target and it’s thicker then most twine and easier to work with, I think.  Please come on over to JUGS and join us…who knows you may become our next Chic of the Week and a future Guest Designer too!

I am also linking my card up over at Mojo Monday…where they have this great sketch!  I sure hope they don’t mind that I put my ribbon at the top of the sketch, but left my sentiment at the bottom.Mojo416

Hope the weekend is spent just the way you like it! I’m getting together with a couple of friends for lunch so it’s off to a great start!

Take care,  Nanc’

The Challenge and Freshly Made

DSC_0101

FMS Final 205-001 Hello Friends,  It’s me again!  WhooHoooo!  I am on a roll this week! Today’s card is for two challenges:  The Freshly Made Sketch of the week and The Challenge inspiration challenge!  I didn’t have as much time as I thought the other evening after dinner, but wanted so badly to do something besides veg on the couch, so I whipped up something rather quickly!  When I saw this photo I knew right away I wanted to pull out the Pink, Grey, Navy and the brick wall.  So that is what I did. Then I saw the twine on the bottom of the photo and thought perfect!  The floral stamp and the brick wall embossing folder is from Stampin Up and the sentiment is from Gina K. Designs.

New Banner-011I so appreciate you stopping in to check on me and all your sweet, sweet comments!  Warms my heart!  Take care, Nanc’

Leaves- Ghost Stamping

ATCAS - code word leavesHello There!  I had the opportunity to get crafty this afternoon and this is what I came up with.  I have been wanting to try my hand a ghost stamping and must say I kinda like it a lot and talk about quick.  Now, I must confess there is a major blunder on this card.   I debated even mentioning it, but I didn’t want you to think I was a complete idiot and didn’t even notice. LOL  After I did all my stamping, I thought it would be fun to cut the center of the card out twice and put the panels back together raising one of them up with pop dots.   However, after I had stamped my sentiment I realized I had stamped it upside down and the leaves were not going to match up as they should. Umpf!  So, I went with it…what else can you do!

I am linking this card up with Addicted to CAS where their code word is LEAVES!  Thanks for stopping by!  Nanc’

Glimmer!

DSC_0073

Hello Friends,  My neighbor asked me to make a Anniversary card for her and I was happy to obliged.  It just so happened that I realized Just Add Ink had a Glimmer challenge going right now, so a win win for me!  The card came together nicely, don’t you think?  The dp behind the piece of vellum is actually in a Winter pack of paper from Stampin Up, but hubby didn’t think it looked like winter at all….thank goodness.  I just love the SU silver heart vellum paper and the silver sparkly paper too, I even forgot I had the vellum.  I think one needs to look through her paper more often to see what one has! LOL  The Hearts were made with a SU punch.  The numbers are cut out from a Sizzix die.

Hope you have a terrific day!  Nanc’

Hello Crafty Friend!

DSC_0067

Screen Shot 2015-08-18 at 12.25.33 PMHello Crafty friends,  It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for a brand new challenge over at Just Us Girls.  This week it’s color week and Maria our hostess has picked out some fall colors for us to enjoy working with.  I didn’t embrace the colors and go in the direction of a ” Fall ” card as one might think, as I was in the need of a fun card to send to one of my crafty friends.  This card was quick and so fun to thrown together.  Hope she likes it!  The stamp sets are from Paper Smooches and are called Positive Strokes and I Heart Art.  I paper pieced the paintbrush and added some faux stitching to tie in the black as it looked a little lost.

I sure hope you come by to Just Us Girls and join us if you have time.  Remember if you are chosen as our Chic of the Week you will be in the running as a possible guest designer in the future.  Hope to see you there

Nancy

Colour Me….Striking!

DSC_0065

CMCC Full Graphics-011Hello Friends,  I have been eyeing the great color combo this week over at Colour Me and I finally had a few minutes today to play along.  Just in the knick of time too, as the challenge ends tomorrow at noon.  This card is very simple!  The Die is from MFT and the love stamp is one of those ones from Michaels, back when they were only a dollar. The heart flowers were made with a punch on top of a punch, where the top heart was scored down the center to give it some pop.  I made a card similar to this one about 3- 4 years ago and thought it was pretty enough to duplicate again.  So if you have been following me that long and it looks somewhat familiar, you are right and also god bless you fro sticking around!  LOL

Hope you have a wonderful start to your work week!  Nanc’

Balloons @ Just Us Girls!

DSC_0035

Screen Shot 2015-08-13 at 10.46.28 PMHello Friends!  It’s Trend week over at Just Us Girls and it seems that balloons of any kind never go out of style in the card making world, so that is our trend for the week.  I also am linking my card up to this week’s Freshly Made Sketch which was the source of my starting point.  You should have seen all my different attempts to a card till I finally settled on this one.  It reminded of those days when you are getting dressed for work in the morning and every outfit looks terrible and you just keep changing your mind till you have a pile on the bed in front of you.   Well, that is what happened with this card…LOL  It had many do overs!   I still have a lot to learn when it comes to coloring, but I think the card came out kinda cute, plus it’s quite different than my usual style.

FMS Final 203-001

Card Info: The balloon was made from a hand drawn template. The ladybug stamp is something I picked up who knows where and who knows how long ago, probably 10+ years. The happy birthday banner is Stampin Up.  The you is a script from Verve and the TO was made with those small alphabet stamps that always come in handy!

I sure appreciate all your sweet comments and visits lately…you sure know how to make a girl feel good!

Have a wonderful day and please won’t you come on over to Just Us Girls this week and join us?  Nanc’

Celebrate @ Seize the Birthday!

DSC_0028

STB Anything GoesHello there friends,  It’s time for a new challenge over at Seize the Birthday!  This time around it’s Anything Goes with no topping!  Just remember to keep it a birthday theme!  My card was inspired this week by this great sketch over at Mojo Monday!  I kept the card pretty simple and straight forward as the sketch implies! The stamps are all from Verve and the paper is from Monte Paper Mill and the pack is called Hello Darling.   I got the paper pack a few weeks back at a NEW local stamping store that just opened up less than 5 minutes from my house!  So excited about that!  She is a super sweet lady and a retired teacher and I wish her much success! I can’t wait to start taking some classes up there!

zzMojo414I hope you have a wonderful day and would love to have you join us at Seize the Birthday, hope to see you in our gallery!  Nanc’
