RS189Hello Friends, As soon as I saw this sketch over at Retro Sketches this week I knew I wanted to play along!  I was intrigued by the diagonal lines in the background and I knew I could achieve that look with some of my polka dotted ribbon that lately had been ignored and was collecting dust on my desk.  I also am still head over heals for this new stamp set that I have used a lot lately….sorry about that.  It’s called Bouquet For You and is from Stampendous.  I also wanted to break out my new (I should say OUR new, as I have to share with hubby) Faber Castell- Polychromo colored pencils and give some coloring another try.  Mind you, in hindsight, I should not have colored the jar the same color as my water ….but a girl has to make some mistakes to move onward and upward. Right?  I am no Kelly Latevola….but I am sure aspiring to be!

I hope you have a wonderful day and I sure do love your visits!  Nanc’

  1. Love how you made the mason jar look so realistic 😀 Fabulous Card!

  2. Pretty card. Love the colors and the jar with the flowers.

  3. I think your jar of flowers is awesome. In fact, that reminds me of the old blue mason jars of years ago!

  4. You coloring on this one is so realistic and a credit to your talent. Love the jar of flowers, and never get tired of seeing them. Gret way to use up some of the tons of ribbon that we all have.

  5. So pretty! Love the Sketch and how you interpreted it…..I love jars on cards, especially jars full of beautiful flowers!

  6. This is so lovely, Nancy … such gorgeous blooms … I think they’re just perfect in the delicate blue mason jar with the equally delicate blue water … there’s such a great sense of depth! Hugs, Anita 🙂

  7. Nothing wrong with your mason jar and the water being the same color to my eye! I love how the flowers look with just bit of coloring on the edges!
