Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Trend Week.  So it’s time to break out those tags and incorporate them on your card and or project. I really had a great time putting this card together.  I made the background of my tag using the smoothing technique and got to break out my new snow hill dies from Lawn Fawn and use them for the first time too.  The paper is from Echo Park and is called Hello Winter and the penguin is something I picked up at Michaels. I loved paper piecing his cute little hat and scarf.   The sentiment I do believe is from Gina K designs.

I hope you find sometime to join us this week, and if you get picked as our Chic of the Week you just might end up being our next Guest Designer too.

I am taking a road trip south today to meet up with my Birthday Sista’ and stamping friend Barbara for lunch, and I am beyond excited to see her again!

Take care and enjoy your day, I know I will!  Nanc’

  1. I love this. It is just darling.

  2. I got up a little earlier than usual today, as I am excited to see Nancy for lunch today. it has been a year since we first met in real life, as we discovered that we are birthday sister too. It is not unusual for me to get my coffee, and check out my emails. When I did this morning, what a surprise to see my name mentioned in Nancy’s post. Yahoo! Nancy, Your icy blue card looks like you live in Wisconsin and know about all of the blistery winters that we get there. Your penguin is so cute with his matching hat and scarf. He looks cheerful that he is on the middle of a snowflake storm. We will have so much to talk about in just a few hours. Can’t wait.

  3. As sick as I am of winter/snow….I adore your card! It’s pretty fantastic with all of the snowy wintery elements….super cute penguin. Oh you two will have so much FUN at lunch….I kind of hope you get into a little bit of trouble too….makes for a GREAT story! AND I have bail money set aside! Be good–but not too good! Wink, wink!

  4. How fun to get together with a fellow sistah! 🙂 Have a great time~ Meanwhile fabulous fun card!

PS…We have the week off from school here this week! But our weather isn’t as nice as yours. This Sunday morning it is -11 degrees!

    • Oh goodness that’s cold!!! My son is getting a real taste of winter then! Thanks for the sweet comment! Hope he’ll be able to fly back to Seattle tomorrow!

  9. I really love that tag! Cool sky background and that penguin is adorable. Love all the snowflakes, too. I guess you needed the paper snowflakes since you don’t get any of the real snow! Beautiful!
