Hello Friends, Have you ever had a time where you sit down to make a card and from start to finish you run into problem after problem? Well this is that very card from that very day! I have named it please forget me instead of unforgettable. If you want a chuckle…keep reading! It all started when I decided to CASE this fabulous card from Laurie Schmidlin. Then it went down hill from there. I am going to paraphrase some of the details to make this short and sweet! Okay here we go….three attempts to make the flowers go in an arch, adhered the card upside down on the card base, was completely finished and realized this card was for Seize the Birthday and it has to be a birthday card and already stamped unforgettable, figured out how to fix that by adding Have An and then was going to put Birthday on the inside, just about done and was getting ready to finish the inside and preceded to drop the ink pad on the corner of the card. UGH! Now you know why the happy birthday is so awkwardly placed on the corner. I am not done yet! I then decide to call it a day and clean up my studio. I have the stamp and scrub pad from Stampin Up and let’s just say the speckles of blue on my card were not intentional. Apparently when you are scrubbing your stamps to close to your work surface the ink form the pad splatters. I didn’t even notice till I went to take my photo. So there you have my please forget me birthday card! LOL
Before I go I would like to welcome Patti our new Surprise Party Guest for the months of April and May over at Seize the Birthday. I have linked up her blog Stationary Styles for you, and trust me when I say you want to visit her blog! Be sure to scroll a lot, as she does some really fabulous work! Your card is beautiful, definitely not a forgettable card. 🙂 I understand the problems you had and have done the same things at times, including the front upside down on the card base and dropping ink pads on the corners. Needless to say, your cad turned out beautiful. Have a great weekend my friend.

I like this card, its so fresh and clean, but I just love your card on Inspired by all little things, the painting is just beautiful! Since I read your interview on that challenge blog and now your experience making this card, I feel like I have found a card making kindred spirit! I am totally obsessed about making cards and when I’m away and doing other stuff, all I can think about is the next card I want to make and I am inspired by everything around me! Your experience making this card also mirrors the day I had today where I laboured over a card for the Inspired challenge and I hated it in the end! I just saw that I even used the same flowers from stampin up that you used in this card! What a coincidence isn’t it? Anyway in the end I managed to make one I loved, from a technique I tried while making the failed card! I’ll be following your blog now!

Haha, I love your story, but sorry you had such bad luck. I love the script on the unforgettable. Who would not want to have an unforgettable birthday.

Well, my goodness, if you hadn’t told me about all of the problems, I never would have guessed. I like it! The flowers are very pretty and I love the little white flowers you added. Nicely done!

I love this…..so simple, but that bright red is so stunning here. I don’t know why I’m not getting email notifications when you post a blog. I am signed up, and I don’t think you are going to spam. So maddening!!! Great card, my dear!
