screen-shot-2017-01-07-at-7-07-58-pmHello Friends,  I have a rather quick card for you this week as I am still in recovery mode from Balloon Sinuplasty Surgery and what you see above is about all I could muster up. The doctor assured me that this procedure would be life changing and make my Chronic Sinus issues so much better, and I am going to hold him to his word!  The surgery was a success (so they say), despite the O.R. being 3 1/2 hours behind schedule and at the hospital for nearly ten hours for an outpatient procedure, getting completely sick from the anesthesia, and having a heck of a time coming to in the recovery room. The finally kicked me out at 6 o’clock.  I think they thought I weighed 240 lbs. instead of 140, as this girl did not want to wake up.  I am anxious to go for my follow-up on Monday as I’m not feeling so well as of yet.  I was back to work on Tuesday, since we had Monday off for President’s Day and to say it’s been a long short week, would be an understatement.   Okay, you didn’t stop by to read me whine now did you?  Sorry about that!

Please come on over to Just Us Girls and join us for Photo Week, the team and our guest Michele have done an amazing job!  Thanks for being with us this month Michele…we have enjoyed it and hope you have too!  The card was made with stamps/dies from Verve. The larger leaf die is from SU???…..but don’t hold me to it!

Take care and happy crafting, Nanc’

  1. Very very beautiful card, Nancy! I am glad the surgery was a success, and I hope your recovery is quick. 🙂 Can’t believe you were out to work so soon though!! 😉

  2. Oh I hope you feel better for the op soon. Very pretty card

  3. This is a great and fun card, love the red and green but not a Christmas card. The wonky white panel is so crisp and I love the pattern on on the leaves. a great job, specially with your recent surgery. Hope you are doing better now.

  4. Love your pretty card and the colors. Great sentiment and pretty red flowers.

  8. LOVE the whimsy of this card. And the circular theme going on with the flowers and the background patterned paper. Great take on the challenge and wonderful greeting too!! Hope you will get some answers with the doc, this too shall pass. Sounds like you had a time of it.

  9. Love that green against the red! It’s such a striking card! Great job for not feeling well! Lovely card! Hope you are doing better!

  10. I guess it’s like with stars, Nancy. The show, or in this case the blog challenge, must go on. You did a great job under adverse conditions. I love the whimsical flowers and print leaves. I hope you’re feeling back to normal soon.

  11. I love those pretty poppies and your fun color combo. It just makes me happy!
