Hello Friends, It’s indeed Saturday and time for the latest challenge at Just Us Girls. Vicki has picked a typical Halloween color combination, but I was in need of a sympathy card for a dear friend who lost her husband recently, so I took that route instead. I like how it came together and have made quite a few cards since then using this same layout.
My card is a mix of many companies, so if you have any questions just give me a shout out!
Hope to see you over at JUGS! Nanc’

No kidding, it seems that I need more sympathy cards recently than birthday cards. This is a great one to make a few of and then have them on hand. I really like how you reversed the colors on the word die. Putting the darker on the top.

Wonderful card and design. Those are awesome colors too and I love the way you layered the sentiment. This is a wonderful sympathy card design and I seem to need more of those a lot lately too! But this is also a design that would work for a get well card too!

Such a lovely card and lovely colors for a sympathy…they are the hardest cards to make and yet they can pack a punch for the recipient. Your friend will be touched by all the little details you added to make this card special for her! Heart Hugs, Colleen

Oh my…how sad that your friend lost her husband. Your card, with the pretty butterfly carrying messages of hugs and prayers, is lovely.

Great take on these colors, I love what you have done here. I, too, chose not to do the traditional Halloween theme. Your design is beautiful, and I think that butterfly is just the perfect final touch. Well done!
