More Christmas!

I just love making Christmas Cards….How about you? I took advantage of the long Holiday weekend and got some more Christmas cards made.  I rarely get a chance to play along with card challenges these days and am thrilled that I found these two to jump start my mojo! I will be linking up with the Sketch over at Viva la Verve and the gorgeous picture you will see below at The Card Concept.

I just love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colors. The wreath on my card is something I picked up along the way at some LSS store and the holly and sentiment is from Verve. I added some Nuvo drops for my berries ( which I am addicted to), a tiny bow from Paper Smooches, and some shiny paper here and there and I was done!  I don’t know about you but I LOVE sketch challenges they really help me throw a card together!  Hope you have a truly fabulous day! Merry Christmas Florida Style!

Hello Friends,  I trust you had a nice Thanksgiving and have finished all your Christmas shopping on Black Friday! (Just kidding of course!) If you are anything like me, I had no interest at all in shopping on Black Friday this year. Now if my son was home and he asked me to go shopping with him, I would have been ready at the crack of dawn.  He and I always have a ball when we go shopping together.  However, I do intend to go shopping on Small Business Saturday which is today when this post went live.  I love supporting the brick and mortar stores in my area.

Now a bit about Today’s card.  I picked up this cute stamp set from my LSS store about a month ago, and I fell in love with it right away.  It’s from Art Impressions and called Tropical Christmas.  When I saw Vicki’s Photo for this week over at Just Us Girls, I thought it would work perfectly! The photo she picked out is so colorful with a huge focus on Turquoise so that is where I jump started my color palette. I still haven’t mastered my Copic coloring by no means, but it will have to do.  I used some glitter on the top of my gold colored bells on top of the flip-flops.  The sentiment however is from Verve.

I need to also thank Trina for being a fabulous Guest with us this month!  Your cards were all Fabulous!  I also want to take a minute and say a fond farewell to one of our DT members at Just Us Girls.  This is my good friend Judy’s last post with us and to say I am a bit sad would be a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT! I absolutely loved working with you Judy and you will be gravely missed!  I wish you nothing but the best, and I know I will keep up with you over on FB! BIG- BIG- HUGS!!!!

I am also entering my card in another challenge!  Woohooooo!  Can’t tell you how long that has been! I haven’t done a two for one in eons!!  Over at Merry Monday they asked for a Santa on your Christmas Card!

Hope you have a fabulous day! Nanc’

Watercolour Holiday!

Finally!  I have been eyeing this challenge over at CAS Watercolour and I finally had the opportunity to play along. I got out one of my all time favorite Verve stamps and my watercolors and went to work. I love working with these ornaments so much that each and every Christmas I have to make a card with them. The music background stamp never lets me down. ( It has no name on it so I don’t know who’s it is.) I added a few Nuvo drops and some sparkly bows from a Die-cut from Paper Smooches, some banners from MFT, and I was done.

If you have not heard of the CAS Watercolour Challenge….You MUST go check it out!  The team is super talented!!!  What I also love about it, is it’s a month long!

Hugs, Nanc’

Monochromatic Birthday!

Hello Friends,  It’s Thanksgiving here in the US and the food is prepared, the house is clean, and I am just waiting for my guests to arrive! My son and new daughter in law are on their honeymoon in Hawaii, (poor guys) so it’s going to be a bit different not having them here.  It was bound to happen sometime, so I am just going to roll with it, and be thankful for all that has transpired this past year!

It’s also happens to be time for our next challenge at Seize the Birthday! The topping I have for us this time around is Monochromatic. I have a thing for Monochromatic cards and a apparently so does the team.  They really did an incredible job! Speaking of team.  I wanted to say thanks and goodbye to Patti, one of my DT members.  This is her last post with us and to say I am sad would be completely TRUE! Patti and I hit it off right from the start and she promised me that even though she is stepping down as a DT member we are going to meet in person someday!  I will hold you to that Patti! You are such a sweetheart and so talented.  So don’t be a stranger and don’t stop creating! HUGS to you my friend!  I also want to Thank Becca Cruger for being such a wonderful Guest these past few months! It’s been an absolute pleasure having you Becca!

Card details: MFT tag and flower dies, Verve -sentiment and leaf dies, and my new love Nuvo Drops!

Have a wonderful day no matter how you choose to spend it! Hugs, Nanc’

Get Well

Hello Friends,  I just love color challenges and this week over at Just Us Girls we have a fabulous one! I had some left over gold paper that I had used for the party favors for the wedding, and it worked out perfectly for my leaves. The flowers are from MFT and the sentiment and the stitched circle is from SU. Some gold Nuvo drops and I was done.

Please come by and join us at JUGS…the team and our guest Trina did a fabulous job as always! Nanc’

Trend Week at JUGS!

Hello Friends, It’s post wedding and I am still on cloud nine!  Things went perfectly and I couldn’t be happier. One day soon I will share some pics with you here! Now onto the real reason you stopped by.  It’s Trend Week over at Just Us Girls and Lisa has asked us to try some Silhouette Stamping. Not sure my card is exactly what she had in mind now that I look at my fellow design teams cards but hopefully it will do.

The background was made with my Oxide Inks and the stamp is something I picked up at Michaels …I do believe. The sentiment is my go to from Verve along with the banners. The buttons are from MFT.

Please come on over to JUGS and check out the other cards by my talented teammates and our guest Trina.  Take care, Nanc’

Circles!

Hello Friends, Its time for another great challenge over at Seize the Birthday!  The topping is Circles this time around. The card I have for you today is a CASE of THIS card.  I fell in love with the colors and had to do my own variation of it. I used my MFT dies and my favorite Birthday stamp from Verve. Now that I look at the photo …I didn’t do a very good job of lining up the paper to align with the center of the flowers. LOL

I am still on cloud nine from my son’s wedding and entertaining out of town guests…so I am making this rather short today!

Please come by STB and see what the team and our Guest Becca have done with our topping of Circles. .

Take care, Nanc’

Thankful!

Hello Friends,  It’s Wedding Day!  I can’t believe it, it came so quickly!  I guess that’s what happens when you are incredibly busy!  The word of the week at JUGS is perfect for how I am feeling this morning!  Thankful!  Now, I will be even more thankful if all goes well…which I have no reason to believe it won’t!  The rehearsal dinner last night was a HUGE success!  We had 61 people and I think everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Now please excuse my somewhat ugly card today, I just had to much going on to give it my full attention.

Take care and come by Just Us Girls and help us welcome our new Guest for the month….Trina. I have linked up her blog for you! She is uber talented!!  Welcome Trina…I am super excited to have you!

Take care,  Nanc’
