Hello Everyone, I have to say that today is the beginning of our Spring Break! Woohoooo! I sure hope this week drags on and on and I manage to accomplish most or all of the incredible long lists of chores and fun activities that I have planned. Wish me Luck! Are you all familiar with the Twofer Card Challenge that the incredibly funny and kind Darnell started recently? Well, I have been eyeing it since its inception, and I decided to incorporate that challenge with my weekly Just Us Girls challenge this week. The Twofer Challenge ends today I do believe, so nothing like getting down to the wire.
The word for the Twofer challenge is Blossom and the Challenge we have for you at JUGS is a Photo challenge. The picture had a lot to do with Spring flowers and Easter so that is where my inspiration headed this week. I got out my SU Blossom Petals Punch and made my first Floral card. Then I let my fingers do the walking over at Pinterest for a bunny card to inspire me and I used the same Blossom punch for his ears. I am not sure anyone has ever used a punch before over at the Twofer challenge, so I hope it’s allowed. Here is the card that inspired me for the bunny and the flower card was my own design. For the flower-I used the SU Blossom Petals Punch, some MFT for the leaves and grass, SU circle dies for the center of the flower, and the stem was made with a hill die from Lawn Fawn. For the bunny- I used an MFT stitched heart, My SU Blossom Petals punch, a MS border punch and my Creative memories circle cutter to get the perfect size circles. The sentiment is from Verve. Chalk for his cheeks, a white and black pen and some rhinestones.
Here is a pic of the SU blossom punch!
Thanks for stopping by and make sure you come on over to JUGS and check out the rest of the DT’s cards.
ACK!!!!!! I didn’t take my photos together and the Bunny card has already been sold! I hope it’s okay that I made a collage instead! I will do better next time, I promise! Nanc’

I know that you talked about this challenge and it is on my list, but still didn’t do it. Glad to see that you have and your cards are so stinking cute. Really a nice idea to do the twofer. I love the bunny, I smiled right back at him when I saw him. Your CAS flower design is a great spring card. Have a great day!

Your entry at the Twofer had me wondering how you created your pretty card, so her I am checking it out. Such a clever use of your flower punches, and your heart shaped bunny is so adorable.

Both of your cards are super cute! I think I am making the Twofer Challenge harder than it has to be. It really leaves me scratching my head. I struggle with it.

Fabulous Twofer cards Nancy. Marvelous what we can do with a punch when we think outside the box. How clever you are. That bunny would make anyone smile – it’s addictive.

Brilliant way to use the punch for two totally different looking cards! The bunny is an absolute delight and I love how your flower turned out, and how you used a hill die to create the stem-so clever! Both card are wonderful!

Your big flower is sheer delight, but must say that the star of the show is your adorable bunny! Talk about cute! His whiskers…ack! Love these…and such an innovative use of your blossom punch. Are you a teacher; I was, for many years..but am now retired (yayyyyy! Had enough of the ‘politics’…). Enjoy Spring Break!

HI Carol. Thanks for the kind words! I am not a teacher but a teacher’s aide. A bit of the same work but I don’t have the headaches or stress. My hubby is a Middle School Art teacher. I have been in the school district for 20 years. I love my school….but it’s definitely not what it use to be. What did you teach?
