Heartfelt Thanks

Got a quick post for you today for the great Sketch over at The Paper Players Challenge along with day 25 of the 30 day Coloring Challenge. I have missed three out of the 25 days, but I am pretty happy with those results.  Hopefully, I can finish strong. I colored the above image with Prisma Colored pencils.  This is one of my go to images and color combos with this particular stamp. It’s one of my favs!  Love the look of sandpaper on white core paper. If you haven’t tried it you must!

Masculine Christmas

June 2018I had sometime today to do some coloring and decided I better get on the stick when it comes to Christmas cards.  I am way behind what I did last year. I made 4 cards every month and I was nearly done by November. However, I am not going to dwell on that. I’m going to celebrate that this is number 4! I knew the CAS Christmas Card Challenge was nearly coming to and end and the word is Masculine and I thought this cute little Palm Tree might do the trick.

The stamps are from Art Impressions and the set is called Tropical Christmas. The scalloped rectangles are from MFT. I started coloring it with Copics and ended up doing all my shading with Prisma Colored pencils.  I hope you had a wonderful day and had sometime to be creative! Nanc’

I love you….

Hello, Have we got a fun Inspiration Photo for you all this week at Just Us Girls! Isn’t it the cutest owl you have ever seen?  Well, made out of fruit that is! LOL. I really enjoyed getting out my Owl punch from SU to put this card together.  I also, used my MFT cloud stencil for the background and this fun stamp set that I have used for my branch and blossoms is from Darcies. The sentiment, leaves and tags are from my Verve collection. The leaves aren’t uniform, I just realized….some are round and some are pointed. LOL The leaf paper is from Gina K.

I am also linking my card up over at The Card Concept where they have the cutest owl pillows as their inspiration. I pulled out the bright colors for my blossoms and of course the owls themselves. I guess you would call this Clean and Layered.

Trees at Twofer!

I have wanted so badly to join in the fun over at the Twofer Challenge this month, and couldn’t seem to settle on the perfect stamp. Then I came across a never used stamp set from Altenew, that I completely forgot I had.  They so happen to be trees!  Apple trees actually. It was fate, I tell you!  If you aren’t familiar with the Twofer Challenge you have to go check it out!  You take their theme of the month and make two completely different cards using the same stamp/ die or what have you. Darnell and the team are fabulous!

On the Elephant card I used the tops of the tree to make the clouds, the grass, bushes, and to color my balloon. Here is a picture of the stamp set so you may understand it better.  On the tree card, it was a bit tricky to line the stamps up perfectly even after lots of practice.  I think they look pretty good, but the yellow one is the best!

Birthday Greetings!

Hi,  Hope you week has been good so far!  I am hanging in there best I can.  Let’s just say my health has not been cooperating over the past few months and I am losing my patients to say the least.  The doctors and I can’t seem to get to the bottom of it all. I will not bore you with the entire saga, I just need to catch a break real soon. Preferably before vacation comes around! Anyhoo, you didn’t stop by to read my woes.

Today’s card got rather busy.  It was not my intention to have quite so many layers, but here you have them. The cupcake and the cute little envelope are from Verve.  As I am typing this I am trying to figure out where Birthday came from and I am stumped. I guess that means I officially have TOOOOOO MANY STAMPS! Shhhhh! My hubby might hear you! LOL

Don’t look to closely at my novo drops on my icing, they kinda got messy and over done!

I hope you will consider coming on over to Seize the Birthday and join us for our Anything Goes challenge…as long as it’s birthday related. Also before I go, I need to say a huge thank you to SonjaK for being an Amazing Surprise Party Guest the past two months! A Good Egg!

I have a quick card for you today. It’s similar to one I have done before and liked so much, I thought I would do it again.  I also needed a thank you card and thought this would do just fine.  All the products that I have used are from Stampin Up.  I chose to use colored pencil for my medium.  It also qualifies for the 30 Day coloring challenge day 19!

I am linking this card up with the Paper Players where the challenge is Birds.

Sea You Soon!

Hello Friends,  Today’s card was one that started out a bit rough, but in the end turned out just fine! I love when that happens.  I had to photograph this card laying down to assure you could see the cute little dolphin behind the fun piece of vellum I found in my stash.  I have no clue where it came from. LOL However, I stumbled upon it at the right time.

Here is an early pic of my watercoloring when I thought about chucking it and started again. So glad I stuck with it. I wanted to make my dolphin more of a purplish grey and I hope you can tell that in the photo and it doesn’t appear muddy.

I am entering this card over at both that CAS Watercolour Challenge and the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

The stamp set is from Sunny Studios, the sea shell dies are Impression Obsession, the borders and tags are MFT.

Miss You

Hello, Hope you are having a good day! I have been eyeing this challenge over at Addicted to CAS and decided to take sometime today to join in. The challenge is rainbow.  Hopefully the added embellishments doesn’t disqualify me from CAS.  However if it does, I had fun just the same.

I am also linking up to the Addicted to Stamps and More site where it’s Anything Goes.

I am also enjoying the 30 day coloring challenge but unfortunately I missed yesterday and messed up my perfect track record. I know it’s not a huge deal in the grand scheme of life, but disappointed just the same.

The negative heart die is from SU, the hill stitched border is Lawn Fawn and the stamps and letter dies are MFT.

Happy 62nd Birthday!

Hello, Today’s card is for Color Week at Just Us Girls. It’s nothing special but it fits the challenge just the same.  I needed a specific masculine card for a friend and this is all I could come up with.  Masculine cards are so tough!  I have chosen grey as my 3rd color choice. I always enjoy these type of challenges where you can throw in your own color.
