Trees at Twofer!

I have wanted so badly to join in the fun over at the Twofer Challenge this month, and couldn’t seem to settle on the perfect stamp. Then I came across a never used stamp set from Altenew, that I completely forgot I had.  They so happen to be trees!  Apple trees actually. It was fate, I tell you!  If you aren’t familiar with the Twofer Challenge you have to go check it out!  You take their theme of the month and make two completely different cards using the same stamp/ die or what have you. Darnell and the team are fabulous!

On the Elephant card I used the tops of the tree to make the clouds, the grass, bushes, and to color my balloon. Here is a picture of the stamp set so you may understand it better.  On the tree card, it was a bit tricky to line the stamps up perfectly even after lots of practice.  I think they look pretty good, but the yellow one is the best!

I so appreciate your visit.  Have a fabulous day! Nanc’

  1. Well, you certainly got this Twofer done up right. I love the two various ways you used the tree stamp set. So clever making it clouds and the grass too. Great job for sure!

  2. Wow, great job making your two-fer card. Very creative using the tree tops for the clouds and grass. TFS

  3. Clever idea to let the elephant float above the trees! Made me smile!

    • Yeah! It worked! Yes the little elephant is floating high above the tree tops! Thanks for the sweet comment!

  4. You were a little magician with that tree top, Nanc! It was clever of you to have that sweet elephant float about the tree tops, but it was really genius to also use the stamp to make the clouds AND the balloon!!! Way to stretch your stamp big time!! I love the happy sun and rays and the little butterfly, too! And, well, hmm, I’ve tried to see where you might have had trouble with your triple, brilliantly colored trees on your thank you card, but I can’t! I think you did a sensational job with all three and with the pretty overall design! Even the shape of the sediment label and the swiss dots e/f are great details!! Thank you so much for your kind words and for joining in Twofer Card Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell

  5. I don’t remember having seen that tree stamp, Nancy, and believe me I’ve been to Altenew many times. I love the way you used it for clouds in addition to the wonderfully colorful trees.

  6. Such a clever way to use that tree stamp, Nanc! I got that stamp a few years ago as a freebie from Altenew. I was so excited when I got it, and then I never used it! You’ve inspired me now, with your fabulous, colorful trees, and I never thought of it as being so versatile as you’ve used it for clouds, bushes, etc. Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  7. It sure worked – two great cards!

  8. Fabulous tree image you’ve used Nanc!! I love how you’ve used the tree tops for just about every part of your adorable birthday wishes card. Very creative and fun! And I do love the layered trees on your second card. They look awesome in all three colours and love them set on the polka-dot dry embossed background which adds lots of texture. Thanks for playing along with us at Twofer Card Challenge!

  9. How fantastic that you used the tree tops for the ground, the clouds and even the colors in the balloon on your adorable birthday card! I find that all three trees look great on your thank you card! Fantastic designs!
Thank you for joining us at the Twofer!

  10. These are both great cards, and I wouldn’t even guess the one stamp was used for all the grass, clouds, and balloon on the first card! Adorable. And then theres the beautiful tree card on the right… WOW! 2 great cards! You really made that stamp work!

  11. Congratulations on your honorable mention at the Two-fer Challenge, Nancy. Well done!

  12. I completely missed this one. Ran across it when I saw the honorable mention list at the Twofer Challenge. Congratulations! This is so cute. Can’t believe you used the apple trees to make the clouds and grass….super creative!
