Believe!

Hello, I have a CAS card for you today that goes along with the Challenge over at Fusion. I was inspired by the fun sketch and the bold red pillow and the simplicity of the photo.  This cute little stamp set is from my local Stamping store. I couldn’t get the photo of the card to cooperate, so those little dots you see are sparkly silver paper. I used Colored pencil as my medium. The stitched rectangles and paper are from SU.

Hope you are having a great day and find sometime to be creative.  Nanc’

Merry Christmas with Bows!

Hello, I have a very quick post for you today! The above card is for Photo week at Just Us Girls and this card was easy and fun to put together.  Next time I will do a better of making my stamping more uniformed, but as I said it was a quick one.  I used the bow from the new to me SU set- Wishing You Well. The Christmas part of the sentiment was made with letter dies from MFT. The Merry diecut is cut out of sparkly silver and was a gift from a friend, so I don’t know whose it is. I love it though!

Thanks for looking and please come join us at JUGS! Nanc’

Tags at STB!

Hello,  This time over at Seize the Birthday the topping if you choose to use it, is TAGS. You can make a Tag to stand alone or you may incorporate a tag on a card and or project, like I have done above.  This card has a Halloween vibe to it and it was not my intention at all, so instead of starting over, I just ran with it. In case you have never seen these Leaves before ( LOL) they are from Stampin Up.  The Tag and Birthday greeting are both from a MFT. The background was made with Oxide inks and some black and white paint splatters.  Not the best photo of the card, but it’s already sent, so had to post it as is.

Please come by to Seize the Birthday and check out what my awesome teammates have done. Speaking of Teammates, I would like to say a heartfelt farewell to one of my DT members-Sandy. Sandy, you will be missed so very much.  I am thrilled to have designed alongside you these couple of years, and very grateful I had the opportunity to meet you in person too!  Please, stay in touch! Take care, Nanc’

Wedding Wishes!

Hello, I have a wedding card for you today that goes along with the Special Occasion theme at The Flower Challenge this month. This card is a CASE of this card Here, with a few changes.  Erum makes gorgeous cards and you can check out her blog here. For the background, I first took my SU diagonal stencil and Smoky Slate ink and made a soft background.  Then I got out a neon pink Prisma Colored pencil and a ruler and added some deep dark lines. I really love the look of this. The stamps are from Altenew’s Beautiful Day and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. I watercolored my main flower after I heat embossed it, and used soft colored pencil on the rest. To wrap things up, I did some distressing with the same Smoky Slate. I am pretty happy with the way this came out.   Thanks for coming by and checking on what I have been up to today.  Nanc’

CAS Christmas Card!

I have been eyeing the challenge over at CAS Christmas Card Challenge and finally found a bit of time to put something together.  When I was visiting my sweet friend Linda in Seattle this past summer, she let me stamp a few of these fabulous Santas to bring home with me. Isn’t that stamp just awesome?  I so love a traditional Santa.  I don’t know about you, but when I go to a mall at Christmas time (which mind you isn’t very often these days-with online shopping), I purposely have to walk by the Santa display, to see if the Santa they have greeting the children looks authentic enough. Luckily this past week, when I was at a mall in Sarasota, I spotted Santa himself!! He was the real deal I tell you! So between the stamp and seeing the jolly man himself, I was very inspired! In fact, I made three more cards using this fabulous stamp, that hopefully I will have time to share later. Not sure who makes this stamp, but the sentiment is an old one that I adore from Verve. The snowflake is a die from Poppystamps. The square die that I used for a belt is from Spellbinders.

On a side note, my father has been recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer and is having a Masectomy tomorrow, so this post was a nice distraction. Hug your loved ones, Nanc’

Wreaths!

Hello,  Hope you’re having a great day!  I finally had a chance to join in the fun over at the Twofer Challenge. The word they have for us this month is Wreath. I just got a a new stamp set this week from Stampin Up called Wishing You Well, and I couldn’t wait to ink it up. I needed a Thank You card for a colleague at work and also wanted to get back to making some Christmas cards, so that is where my intentions began. The Christmas card sentiment die on sparkly red, SU, card stock is from a dear friend of mine. The tiny red berries were hole punched and placed by hand along with the sequins. The bow die is from Paper Smooches.  For the Thank You card, the fabulous bow and dainty flowers are also from the same SU set and the wonky rectangles are from MFT.  The sentiment is also a go to of mine from a different SU set as well. Some added sequins and I was done.

Below, I have both the cards photographed for you separately as I struggled with that when they were together.  Have a great day! Nanc’

You are AMAZING!

Hello, Hope your day is off to a good start! We have a bright and happy color trio for you this week at Just Us Girls! I kinda stepped out of fall leaves for a moment, ( and I imagine you are so happy about that) and went back to summer for this card. However, we had a bit of a cold front sweep down to Florida finally!  It is suppose to be a high of 75 today, and that is going to be just FABULOUS!  Today’s card is a mix of MFT and Verve. The you inspire me part of the sentiment was printed on the computer. I used Copics to color my Hibiscus.

Please come by JUGS and see how the rest of the team was inspired with these colors, along with our guest Claire.

Hope to see you in our gallery, Nanc’

Feathers @ Creative with Stamps!

I found a “new to me” Challenge site today called Creative with Stamps and their challenge this time around is feathers. The feather set I used above is from Papertrey Ink. It was a fun and easy card to put together.  I always enjoy the results from the embossed resist technique! The fun edge die is Papertrey too. I used Oxide inks for my background and I believe the sentiment is from Verve.

Hope you are having a creative day, Nanc’

More Leaves-Rustic Fall!

IMG_0520 (1)

TCC101 1031Yes, More Leaves! I warned you that I was gaga over this set! Today’s card was inspired by The Card Concept. I really fell in love with the photo they have this time around.  I was first inspired by the variations of orange on the pumpkins and then pulled the gold paper to replica the brown leaves in the bed of the truck. The white background below my leaves was left intentionally due to the white chickens in the photo.  I think I would define this card as Clean and Layered.  In hind sight, I should have incorporated the navy of the truck too.

I used my Oxide inks and some water to make my background. The sentiment and leave-dies are from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by, Nanc’

Bleach Technique!

Hi Everyone!  Today over at Just Us Girls we have a Trend that is really fun and rather simple! It’s the bleaching technique.  I probably could have used a bit more bleach than I did but decided to play it safe before I ended up not liking it in the end. This leaf is one of those stamps that you have no idea where it came from but you love it just the same. I also made this card quite a while ago before I went on my new SU-Leaf rampage! LOL I am still not ready to put fall behind me yet!  That is just a funny statement, as I sit here in Florida in 85 degree temps. LOL The sentiment is heat embossed and from Verve! Come check out the amazing cards from my team and guest-Claire and join us! Nanc’
