I can’t even believe that tomorrow is my son and daughter in law’s first Anniversary. Where has this year gone! It sincerely feels like just months ago that we had that magical day! I knew as soon as I saw the word was Music for our challenge this week at Just Us Girls, I would be able to incorporate that into a card for them. I thought it would be fun to also include a bee somewhere on each anniversary card from here forward, since that and the musical theme was such a key element at the wedding. For those of you that don’t know the background, I embossed musical notes on the party favors at the wedding as Sandra and Ty met in Marching Band in High-school. The Bee comes in to play as the mascot of Savannah College of Art and Design (where they both got their masters) is the SCAD bees, and that is the city where they got engaged. At the wedding the men wore gold bees on their lapel and the girls wore bee necklaces. Not to mention, the grooms cake was a bee hive.
The sentiment and the musical background is from Stampin up, the bee is from Heartfelt Creations, those fun gold hearts are from Poppy, and the #1 is a Sizzix die.

Wow! I didn’t know about all of the special symbols from the wedding, what a great idea to carry them forward each year. Yes this year has gone fast but the memories are still fresh. Great card Nancy!

What a precious and memorable Anniversary card you have here Nancy. Hard to believe it IS 12 months ago that we saw such a beautiful couple take their vows. There is so much love in that card that I am sure will bring tears to their eyes on seeing so many elements that went into their special day remembered in this card. What perfect timing by Sue to have music as our word this week at JUGS.

How special that you made such a personal card for Ty and Sandra, Nancy. All the things that mean a lot to them in one lovely anniversary card. My granddaughter and her husband met at band camp. There must be something in the music. 😉
