Over at Inkspirational they have a CASE challenge going on right now, and as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I was going to do. I got out my trusty Altenew Beautiful Day set and went to work. First, I made the striped background with a SU stencil and brown ink. Then I decided to add stripes with a yellow Prisma Colored pencil to give it some depth. The Altenew main flower is heat embossed and watercolored. The rest of the leaves and flowers were lightly colored with colored pencil. I added the white and black splatters with a child’s old watercolor paint set. They work so well! Below is the fabulous card that I cased from Erum, I still look at it and swoon! I made one in pink about a month ago and you can find it HERE.
Hope you are having a wonderful day and thanks for your visit! Nanc’

That design of Erum’s is stunning and you’ve done a brilliant job of CASEing it, Nanc, not once, but twice! I love using child watercolor sets, too, but didn’t think of them for the white and black splatters! Thanks for that smack on the forehead!! Happy New Year! Hugs, Darnell

Not sure how I missed the first one in pink, but I did! Both of these cards are outstanding and so creative. You got Hallmark best by a mile. You could make a bunch of these are they would fit a lot of occasions. So many color combination to choose from too.

I may have to CASE your CASE, Nancy. This is wonderful! I love the kraft cs and your splatters are amazing. Watercolor you say? Great use of the pencils too. I don’t usually use this term but “You rocked it, girlfriend!!”
