Hello, And Happy Day to you! I have TWO cards for you today for TWO different challenges!
The first card is for this week over at Just Us Girls. Vicki has a trend for you that is so much fun to do. It’s the emboss resist technique. I have this great paper that I have been scarcely using from SU that I decided to use this week. It resists ink! I just love it! I used a mix of companies on this card, as I rarely do…LOL. The oval is SU, the gorgeous vine and flowers and scalloped rectangle are MFT, and the sentiment is Verve.
The next card is also using the Embossed resist technique along with a stencil for the NEW CAS Stencil Challenge that I am really excited about. I have so many stencils that get ignored, and now I have a reason to use them. I used a MFT stencil and my Oxide Inks, a Papertrey Ink Stamp set, and my MFT wonky rectangles. Added some sequins and I was done.
Please join us at JUGS this week and check out what my fabulous teammates and Two Guest Designers have done with this challenge and while you are hopping around, go check out the New CAS Stencil Challenge!
Take care and happy creating, Nanc’

These are both fantastic! I especially love that first one with the perfectly blended, soft background. Beautiful design! Your feather is so pretty, too and I love it against that stenciled layer.

Wow! These are amazing and I love the soft colors going to the bright gold and then how you reversed the colors on the flowers. Really an elegant card. The quick on that you did with the feather is foxy and beauteous. Love them both.

Beautiful cards. Love the colors with the ink blending on the first card, and also the feather on the 2nd card. Pretty flowers on that oval die cut. I agree with Barb, an elegant card. Great use of the stencil also. I have stencils that I need to play with. TFS

Looks like a yellow and green Spring-y theme going on here, Nancy. The ink blending on your JUGS card is wonderful and sets off those flowers beautifully. I’m with you on challenging us to use our stencils more. Yours looks great with the colorful feather.

Swooning over the two versions of flourishes on your cards and the oh-so-pretty palettes you’ve chosen! Flowers and feathers: absolutely marvelous! A duo of delight and inspiration!
Apologies for not visiting last week; the plate-of-life was heaped a bit too high!
