Happy 60th- Make Us Laugh!

The inside of my card says….P.S. I am still younger than you! LOL

Hello,  Hope you are having a great day! Have we got a great topping for you starting at Seize the Birthday!  Lindsey has asked us to ” Make Us Laugh.”  Who doesn’t like to receive a card that makes you laugh! Such a great idea Lindsey! However, if that is a struggle for you, any Birthday card will do. The toppings are always optional. I made the above card for my sister as she just turned 60 on Tuesday.  She really loved it! Especially the inside, which I have written for you above. I am the baby of the family and some say spoiled. LOL.

Shaker cards and I don’t always see eye to eye.  I always get the stupid idea to add glitter or something of that nature inside and it sticks to the acetate and becomes all milky and that drives me crazy. Well, I did it again. However, I did manage to get the majority of it out this time.  NOTE to SELF…Acetate and glitter do not work well together.  Then I also decided at the very end, to add the 60’s, and not sure that was a wise idea either. What’s done is done! Stay tuned as sometime in the near future this MFT Shaker die set may be for sale really cheap. LOL   Card was made with all MFT products! (Thanks to Barbara Campbell for bringing me the sentiments to let me use on her visit.)

Before I go, I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Julie for being such a fabulous Surprise Party Guest. We really enjoyed your work!! Please play along with us any chance you can!

PLEASE hop on over to Seize the BIrthday, as I am sure you will get a chuckle or ten out of the team’s cards!  Nanc’

Celebrate Your Day

Hello,  Today’s card was first inspired by the Monthly Mix over at Gina K. Designs.  The talented Karen Hightower has asked us to use Coral (or Orange) as the dominant color on our card and or project. I don’t make a lot of cards in orange, so this intrigued me right away, not to mention her own card was fabulous and so inspiring too. I am also going to link my card up over at the Rainbow Card Challenge (a new challenge site that I stumbled upon) where they have the same color this month.

Here is a bit of info on my card. The background butterfly stamps, vase and flowers are from Gina K. Designs, the rectangle dies are SU, and the sentiment is from Verve.  The images where embossed with white embossing powder, and I water colored my vase and flowers.

I so appreciate you stopping by, Nanc’

Happy Birthday!

Hello,  Happy Weekend! Today over at Just Us Girls it’s photo week.  Lisa has chosen a beautiful Amethyst as our inspiration, so there is lots of room for creativity here! This beautiful intricate die cut and the flowers that I used on my card doesn’t belong to me. However, I believe they are from Heartfelt Creations. The sentiment is from Stampin up. I just quickly colored the flowers with Copics.

I hope you will consider joining us. If you are struggling with ideas, come on over to JUGS and check out my teammates and our guest creations! You will be very impressed!

I also would like to say farewell to our February Guestie; Lisa Elton.  Lisa, you were a pure delight to have onboard with us! Please come back soon!

Take care, Nanc’

Hello Sweet Friend

Hello,  Yes I have another card for you today.  I know…crazy huh! I love being home a bit too much.  Today’s card is for the CAS Stencil challenge. I love that Loll created this challenge, so that I may use my stencils more, and not forget about them as I often do. Thanks Loll!!!   When I was making my other card that I posted a few days ago with the same stencil, I made this one also using a different color of Dylusion Spray, Cherry Pie. In the bottle it appears to be more of a pink, but comes out red. It sure gives a great punch and so simple to do.  The sentiment is from SU and the added flowers are made with a MS punch.

Here is a picture of the spray by Ranger if you have never heard of it.  Thanks for the visit and happy stamping! Nanc’

You are Amazing….

Hello, Today’s card is something that has been keeping me up at night. LOL Today, I finally put it together. It’s quite a mix of different stamp sets along with different challenges.  The inspiration all started when I stumbled across Laurie’s Win it Wednesday challenge over at Papertrey Ink. She asked us to use our favorite color.  That wasn’t too hard, as I gravitate to green quite often, as it’s the largest folder of scraps I have in my scrap binder, and I love using Black card bases as well! Then I realized that Time Out Challenges was looking for something Retro this week, and finally over at Inspirational Challenge the word is TEXT.  So there you have it a THREEFER!! LOL See why it was keeping me awake. LOL

Here is a quick reference to my supplies: Bo Bunny DP, SU- Text You Later and Thoughtful Banners, telephone is from Papertrey Ink, the Paper die cut is from Paper Smooches.

I so appreciate your visits as of late.

Take care and happy stamping,  Nanc’

Poppy-Get Well Soon

Hello,  I am taking advantage of having a long weekend.  After my chores were done yesterday, I gravitated to my studio to make a card for the latest CAS Watercolour Challenge. I just pray that is CAS enough. I started off by heat embossing my Verve Poppy stamp and then watercoloured it with some Altenew inks both in Ruby Red and Coral Berry. The sentiment is from Verve as well. The leaves are a MS punch. I made the victorian scallop with my Fiskars cutter.  I just love the texture the Watercoloured paper adds to a card.

I am also linking up with The Paper Players this week as well where their challenge is Monochromatic.

I hope you are having a wonderful day too, Nanc’

LOVE you…

Hello,  Today I am linking my card up over at Freshly Made Sketches and CAS Mix Up Challenges. My sentiment is a little bit more to the right than it should be, and I extended the underneath color to the right as well for balance, so I hope that’s ok.  The blending didn’t come out so well, so I added some splatters to distract your eyes. LOL The heart paper is from SU and does a resist when you ink it up…so fun, the YOU sentiment is from Neat and Tangled, and the Love die is from SSS.  It’s hard to see the dimension on my card as it was dreary when I took the photo…so I hope it’s enough for the challenge.

I so appreciate your visits and Happy Stamping! Nanc’

Happy Birthday

IMG_0501.jpg

Hello, Hope your day is off to a good start.  It’s time again for our Anything Goes over at Seize the Birthday.  I would love for you to join us, but please remember to make it a Birthday theme.

Here are a few card details:  I got this wooden stamp recently and couldn’t wait to ink it up!  First, I inked it up with very light grey ink and then colored it in with Prisma Colored Pencils. I believe it’s only the second or third time that I have colored on black cardstock. I love the look of it, and not sure why I don’t do it more. The banner die is from MFT and the sentiment is from Verve. In hindsight, I wish I hadn’t added the various (MFT) leaves in the open spaces…but what you gonna’ do. What’s done is done.

I would love to also link this card up over at The Flower Challenge where they want us to use one of our latest stamps.

The DT and our Surprise Party Guest Julie have really got some great cards over on the blog, come on over and check them out.

Take care, Nanc’

FRIEND!

Hi,  As soon as I saw the colors over at The Color Throwdown, I was inspired to play along.  I have been wanting to use a new stencil that I got from SSS for a while now and thought it was the perfect time.  I got out my Dylusion spray (from Ranger) which just so happens to be the perfect color Fuschia to match the photo. Then I decided I would divide the panels for added interest.  It was still missing something, so I added the black inlay FRIEND using my MFT letters. I finished it off with a couple of MFT flowers, sequins, and a sentiment from Whimsical Stamps.

You will be seeing this stencil again in a few days!

Thanks for stopping by , Nanc’
