Happy 60th- Make Us Laugh!

The inside of my card says….P.S. I am still younger than you! LOL

Hello,  Hope you are having a great day! Have we got a great topping for you starting at Seize the Birthday!  Lindsey has asked us to ” Make Us Laugh.”  Who doesn’t like to receive a card that makes you laugh! Such a great idea Lindsey! However, if that is a struggle for you, any Birthday card will do. The toppings are always optional. I made the above card for my sister as she just turned 60 on Tuesday.  She really loved it! Especially the inside, which I have written for you above. I am the baby of the family and some say spoiled. LOL.

Shaker cards and I don’t always see eye to eye.  I always get the stupid idea to add glitter or something of that nature inside and it sticks to the acetate and becomes all milky and that drives me crazy. Well, I did it again. However, I did manage to get the majority of it out this time.  NOTE to SELF…Acetate and glitter do not work well together.  Then I also decided at the very end, to add the 60’s, and not sure that was a wise idea either. What’s done is done! Stay tuned as sometime in the near future this MFT Shaker die set may be for sale really cheap. LOL   Card was made with all MFT products! (Thanks to Barbara Campbell for bringing me the sentiments to let me use on her visit.)

Before I go, I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Julie for being such a fabulous Surprise Party Guest. We really enjoyed your work!! Please play along with us any chance you can!

PLEASE hop on over to Seize the BIrthday, as I am sure you will get a chuckle or ten out of the team’s cards!  Nanc’

  1. Didn’t you just buy that shaker last Fall, Nancy? I thought you loved making those drink cards. The sentiment is perfect and I love the little ‘ice cubes’ in the glass.

  2. What a cool shaker card. Although I no longer drink alcohol as it interferes with meds I would still get a kick out of a card like this.

  3. LOVE this!! Snarky/humorous cards are my favorite ones to make. I pinned this one for future reference.

  4. OMGOSH.. your card is so fun! LOVE the sentiment and the fun shaker design! Super CUTE!

  5. Well that sentiment says it all! Awesome shaker card too

  6. Good to see how this card turned out. Super fun and a shaker card too. I heard that if you rub a powder pouch it will remove some of the static. This is a splendid birthday card.

  7. This one totally made me chuckle! Its a cool shaker card and a totally funny sentiment. I connect, because I am the younger one in my family too! 🙂

  8. Oh, and I was wondering – if you are adding glitter, maybe you could try dabbing some anti-static powder on the acetate before adding the glitter. Maybe that could help (remember seeing it Jennifer McGuire’s video somewhere – though I haven’t tried it myself)

  9. Love the sentiment to go with the fab shaker!
Thanks for having me as the PG at STB, it was a blast! 🙂

  10. So is that what I should have done two weeks ago? LOVE that sentiment. Adorable card!!

  11. It is a fun and cool birthday shaker card, Nancy! Love the colors and the sentiment 🙂 !!! The 60’s you added make a fun background too!

  12. Fantastic shaker card Nancy, I love the 60s and the fun sentiment, Cathy x

  13. I’m with you – making shaker cards does NOT make me laugh! But this card does. I’m glad it made your sister laugh, too, it’s a lot of fun!

  14. Fabulous card, Nancy, and I loved the inside sentiment – it’s great being a younger sister, isn’t it?

  15. I LOVE everything about this card. You rocked this shaker card my friend. Well done.
