Happy Bird-day to You!

Hello, I am back again with another card using these darling birds from MFT- Tweet Hello. I so enjoyed playing with these yesterday, that I got up early this morning to finish card number two. I used the MFT cloud stencil and the sunray stencil to make my sky. Then I heat embossed some leaves from Stampendous and sponged them with Broken China (my favorite color)-Oxide Ink and fussy cut them out. Next, I remembered that I had a fun branch from SU that I thought would work nicely with the sketch.  I hope it’s okay that I took the liberties of combining the sentiment element on the sketch as both my branch and sentiment. The background paper and navy cardstock are both SU.  Again the cute birds are colored with Prismas and popped up for dimension.  My starting point for my card was designed around the sketch at The Paper Players. Then I went searching for the color inspiration and had to go no further than The Color Throwdown.

I loveeeeeee color challenges! Don’t you?  I may start one someday! Who Knows!!

I hope however you are choosing to spend the day you are enjoying it! Nanc’

Sending You a Tweet Hello

I have been under the weather for the past week but thankfully woke up this morning feeling a bit more human. Hubby went golfing and I decided to spend a nice quiet Sunday joining the fun over at MFT’s Color Challenge and Freshly Made Sketches.  My dear friend Barbara got me this great MFT stamp set (A Tweet Hello) a while ago and it’s been patiently waiting for me to break the seal.  Because of the size of these cute little birdies, I thought I better stick with my Prisma Colored Pencils instead of my Copics for more control. I actually made two cards today using this set, but you will have to wait for a future post to see the other one. I don’t think you can really see but I have faint coral clouds in the background made with my MFT Cloud stencil too. The leaves are a die from Verve, the flowers are MFT, and I made the banners myself.

Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate your visits.  Hope you enjoy your holiday! Nanc’

Thinking of You…

Hello,  Hope your day is off to a great start! Today’s card for Just Us Girls is inspired by both an Inspiration photo and a CASE of one of my previous cards but in different colors.  The card is a mix of Verve stamps, Oxide inks and a stencil, SU punch, and some heat embossing on both the border hearts and the butterfly too. You must come check out the rest of the team’s cards over at JUGS, everyone did a really fabulous job!

Before I go I would like to say a BIG thanks to Eva for being such a Stupendous guest!  Hope to see you in the gallery at JUGS!

Take care, Nanc’

Presents @ STB

Hello,  Hope you are having a creative week! The next topping over at Seize the Birthday that I am sure you are going to love is…PRESENTS! Who doesn’t like receiving presents on their birthday, or any time of the year is okay too! The stamp set I have for you today is an old one of Gina K Designs. I colored it with Prismas and did a light shadow under the gifts too. The sentiment is Verve of course.  Boy oh boy, do I ever need some new Birthday Greeting stamps. You all must be sick of seeing this stamp on nearly every Birthday card. This card was super fun to throw together.  I hope you will consider checking out the rest of the team’s amazing cards and join us too!

Take care, Nanc’

hi there…

Hello, We have a photo for you to pick your colors from this week at Just Us Girls.  I chose green, light purple, and a very dark purple. The stamp is an old Papertry Ink set that I have nearly forgotten I even owned. The fun paper beneath my colored image was made with a stencil, Oxide Inks and baby wipes.  I colored my image with Prismas.

I am also linking my card up over at CAS Mix it Up Card Challenge where they asked us to use the Baby Wipe, Stamping and your choice.  My choice was coloring.

Come check out how the rest of the team and our guest was inspired… and join us! Nanc’

Bold Letters!

I am hosting this week for Trend Week at Just Us Girls. The trend I have chosen that seems to never go out of style is…Bold Letters. If you don’t have any Bold individual letters a large sentiment will do. I have done a little bit of both! Wait to you see all the amazing cards the team and our guest Eva came up with!  I was blown away!

This card is a mix of SU, Verve, MFT, and Sizzix.  If you have any questions let me know!

Hope you will consider joining us at JUGS! Nanc’

Balloons

Hello there,  Hope you are having a great day!  We have a really fun and easy topping for you starting over at Seize the Birthday.  The topping is Balloons.  For my card, I decided to mix some Prisma coloring with some Oxide Inks and the smooshing technique. Then I decided to take an old Stampin Up stamp ( it’s to make leaves) and make some free-formed dots on the background with the same colors to give it an artsy vibe. All products are MFT, besides the sentiment which is Verve. Before, I go I would like to welcome our New Surprise Party Guest –Linda Snodgrass over at STB. I am so excited to have her with us the next couple of months.  I have had the pleasure of meeting Linda a couple of times in person and she is as sweet as she is talented. Please head on over to her blog and look around and leave her a comment or two while you are there.

Hope to see you at STB, Nanc’

Movement

Hope your day or weekend in my case is off to a good start! Today over at Just Us Girls it’s Word Week and the word we have for you is Movement.  There are many different ways you can run with this challenge.  For my card, I decided to make a pop-up card. The inside stamping didn’t turn out so well, but I had no time for a redo.

I also would like to welcome our new Guest for the Month of May and that is Eva Dobilas.  We are really happy to have you with us Eva and hope you have fun too!

Most of my card was made with SU products with the exception of the stars, those are MFT and the small ones are made with a punch.

Here is the inside of my card.

Happy crafting, Nanc’
