Do you ever buy a crafting supply because you saw it on a YouTube Video (probably Jennifer McGuire) and you had to run out and buy it right away? Then years later, you see a challenge asking you to use it and the light bulb comes on in your head and you’re like…hey, I have that stuff! Well, that’s exactly what happened this week for me! I am sure it’s happened to you too!! At least humor me and agree that it has. 😉 The funny thing is… if I just “HAD TO HAVE IT” way back then, why on earth is the packaging still intact? LOL
Okay, enough of my silly rant! Today’s card was so much fun to make using my “New” Perfect Pearls and joining in the fun over at CAS Stencil Challenge. The Perfect Pearls is a tad messy and I highly recommend that you use a fixative spray when you’re done, so it doesn’t continuously wipe off on your hands. I liked it a lot before I sprayed it and loved it even more after I took it outside and gave it a good douse. It seemed to enrich the color.
Then I had to figure out what to do next! I decided that I would turn the pretty paper into both birthday candles and (flowers for a later post) as to not waste a scrap. The pretty scalloped foil paper is SU made with an MFT die. The sentiment is Hero Arts, and the candles are a die-cut by Elizabeth Craft Designs. The little tiny pearls I placed in each corner are SU and match perfectly!
Have a wonderful day! Nanc’

Beautiful card and wonderful colors. I bet it really looks fantastic in real life and so shimmery.

I have the same disease! The “I have to have it disease”. It is catching and infectious, watch out! But oh so worth it as I see on the card. Love the design pepper and how you used it on this card. So many possibilities.

I think we pretty much all pulled our Perfect Pearls out of some deep dark corner! But how fun to use them in a new way with our stencils! What a great stencil you used for your candles and the gold looks great on the blue Nancy – a very clever idea and double fun that you got to make another card with pieces from the panel you made! thanks so much for joining us at CAS Stencil! xx

Oh yes ….. I think we all have stuff that we just ‘had to have’ and has never seen the light of day again!! It’s always good to try new things though.
I love how you’ve decorated your candles, the gold looks fab on the navy. Thank you for playing along with the CAS Stencil challenge xx
