Hello, I finally finished my cards for the Twofer Challenge. I did have to go the more conventional route this time with my cards, as the stamp is so large and beautiful I couldn’t think of another way to showcase it that wouldn’t lose its appeal. Anyways, I decided to cut apart one of my finished pieces to make it more of a tile look and lift two of the panels with fun foam. Then I distressed the edges. I am super pleased with how it came out. For the second card, I went with traditional coloring. I stamped the sentiment crooked (of course I did) after I was done coloring, so had to add the additional layer. The beautiful stamp is perfect for this word this month. If I had a beautiful garden, rest assured, it would have an old fashioned watering can like this one. The stamp is one of my all-time favorites and is from Northwoods stamps. The two sentiments are from Verve and I used Prisma Colored pencils. Below are a few more pics.
I am so glad you came by!
Happy crafting, Nanc’

Super cool that way that you raised two of the panel on your first card. The second one looks so different with the colors that you used. Love them both.
See you soon, get to packing.

There’s just something about an old-fashioned watering can, especially filled with tulips! What a great image, both beautifully colored, Nanc’! I love the idea of cutting the grid and then popping up just a couple of them! And your sentiment save on your second card worked out perfectly!! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #18! Hugs, Darnell

You did a really great job on your cards! It was very daring of you to use such a large image for a Twofer, and you pulled it off quite well!

That is an incredible image, Nancy. I love the size of that watering can and those pretty tulips! Wouldn’t you know that those darn squirrels just dug up and ate the last of my tulip bulbs in my gardens – little rascals! Guess I’ll just have to plant some new ones this fall! Your coloring is pretty, and I love the idea of “tiling” an image! Such pretty ribbon, too. Thank you so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge. Bev
