Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Still Practicing…

Before I get to the details of my card, I am still in the “Forever” beginning stage of how to color with Copics.  This by no means came out well, however, I did think of a way to take a mediocre card and make it better by using my scallop rectangles.  I am hoping it gave enough added interest to take your eyes off the terrible blending. Did I succeed? LOL. I am still figuring out color families. I decided to leave in sentiment free for now.

This card is for The Flower Challenge where they asked us to use your favorite flower.  Which was nearly impossible for anyone who loves flowers.  I had troubles deciding, so I went with a Favorite “NEW” flower stamp by MFT.  The background was also colored with Copics.

Card Details: Copics, MFT Scalloped dies and Flower stamp, Perfect Pearls, and some fun foam for dimension.

  1. Nancy, This is just lovely! You can be proud. Love how you did the die cut over the flowers. I am taking a lessen from you.

  2. I love it and I think the Copic blending looks great. The whole layout of the card is fantastic!

  3. This is lovely and I think your coloring looks great. I like how you did the die cut frame too.

  4. I absolutely love this card, both the colors and the frame. Did you stamp it twice? Once under the frame and then again on top of the frame? I like the dimensional look.

    • Thanks so much! No I only stamped it once then used the die cuts! Positioning the bottom one was tough though! I appreciate you stopping by!!
