Grateful Heart

Hello, We have a perfect Fall photo for you this week at Just Us Girls that is sure to inspire you!  This card may look a tad familiar if you are one of my avid followers.  I made a card very similar to this one a few weeks back and I loved that one so much I had to make another, especially once I saw the photo Bobby had selected for us. This card is in the running for the most favorite card of mine to date. I truly love it! I did the smooshing technique on watercolor paper for the background of my leaves.  The veins of the leaves are made out of gold sparkle paper. It is so lovely! The two tags are made from the same. I decided to distress the edges of the crumb cake paper and the ivory sentiment paper.  The sentiment is heat embossed. A few gold Nuvo drops too.  The leaves and small rectangle are SU and the sentiment is Verve. The large rounded corner rectangle and banners are MFT. I am also linking my card up at 2 other challenges. Time Out Challenges, the word is grateful.  Inspire Create, the word is die cuts.

Before I go I would like to thank Chris for being with us this month.  It was great having you back on the team, it was just like old times.

Go and create an amazing day!  Nanc’

Candles

Hello, Today’s card is for the new topping over at Seize the Birthday. The topping this time around is Candles, chosen by Shirley.  I had so much fun breaking out my laminator and my Gina K. Foil-Mates to make this card. You may not be able to tell in the photo but the background is foiled in Turquoise Sea and the candles are in Passionate Pink. The sentiment is from Verve and one of my favorite sets. The heart border is a Martha Stewart Punch.  The candles are from Elizabeth Craft Designs, one of my all time favorite purchases. I also have a lot of dimensionals used on this card as well.

Please come by and join us! Nanc’

Get Well

Hello,  Today’s card is for Two Challenges- The Color Throwdown and CAS Watercolour. I just had to get out one of my all-time favorite SU sets as soon as I saw the theme at CAS Watercolour was Maple Leaf. I started off by doing the smooshing technique with two different colors of Purple on Watercolour paper. Next, I cut out the leaves…both solid and the outline ones.  Last, I had to incorporate the grey and decided a little sparkle paper would do the trick just fine. The Get Well sentiment is SU. A few rhinestones and I was done.

Have a wonderful day, Nanc’

Sweets at The Twofer Challenge

Hello, Today’s cards are for the Twofer Challenge this month and the word Darnell has for us is Sweets. I have been thinking hard about this challenge for about two weeks and finally an idea came to mind this weekend. I knew I had a chocolate stamp set from Verve that was going to work perfectly for the one card, but I wanted to come up with something clever to do with the melting chocolate on the second one and then it dawned on me….dripping paint. Not sure why that took two weeks to think of, I mean for peet sake it looks like dripping paint. LOL

Here are some card details: First card: U and dripping chocolate is from Verve, the Color my World is Lawn Fawn, the Colored Pencil is from Paper Smooches, and the Sweet Friend is from SU, and lots of Dimensionals too on both cards. Second card: All the stamps are from Verve except the Love and Hugs is from W plus 9. The Chocolate die-cut is from Verve as well,  I have Wink of Stella on my chocolate to give it some shimmer but it doesn’t show in the photo much. I made MANY attempts with crystal Effects, but it turned into a hot mess. I colored the chocolate pieces with Copics, and the Dots EF is SU.

Here is a pic of the stamp set I used.

You have a few more days before this challenge closes! You should definitely play along!  Thanks for your visits as they are so very much appreciated, Nanc’

You Make the World…

Hello, We have a fun Color challenge starting today at Just Us Girls. I have had this stamp set for at least 6 months and it’s the first time I have used it.  I know…the shame of it all! LOL I think I was a bit intimidated by it and was afraid I couldn’t do it justice for how pretty it truly is. Then, I put on my big girl panties this week and went to work. It’s not exactly fabulous but it will do. I made the striped background with a stencil and some Oxide inks and then thought it looked a bit lost, so I added the black outline to the colors and it did help. The flowers and globe are colored with Copics. The stamp set is from Catherine Pooler and is called Amber’s World. I have raised a few of the flowers with dimensionals.

I sure hope you come over to JUGS and play along! Nanc’

Happy Wonderful Christmas

Hello there, I hope you have found some time to be creative this week. Today’s cards are for the CAS Stencil Challenge this month. They asked us to stencil onto Patterned Paper. As you will see in the photo below, I made my own stencil using a Simon Says Leafy Circle die that I have been ignoring as of late. I paired that with SU stamps, and coordinating die-cuts. The berries were made with a hole punch.  Very quick and easy cards for sure.  Thanks for stopping in! Nanc’

Merry and Holiday

Got a quick pair of cards today for CAS Mix Up Card Challenge.  It’s so hard to photograph foiling. For my cards…I chose to use foiling, with stamping and die-cutting. My foil is from Gina K, the snowflakes are Memory Box, and the sentiments are Verve. A few rhinestones in the center of my snowflakes and I was done.  I am nearly done with my Christmas cards and now it’s time to work on the ones for the store!

Have a creative day, Nanc’

For the Kids

Hello, I hope your day is off to a great start and you came by to see what the next topping is over at Seize the Birthday! ‘Wink, Wink!’  Well, we do have a great one starting today that was selected by the hilarious- Lindsey. She has the best sense of humor! Love her!  Anyways, she wants us to focus on the kids!  I knew right away I was going to be using my MFT Dragons and I have linked up the card that I cased here!  I colored my sweet dragon with Copics and a little bit of colored pencils too. The white dots were made with a gel pen. You must run on over to STB and check out the rest of the cards by the DT and our guest Annie as they are terrific.

All products are MFT.

I hope you have a wonderfully creative day! Nanc’

Thank You for Everything and More

I have a card today for The Paper Players (Thankful) and over at The Flower Challenge it’s (CAS). I haven’t played with this Painted Harvest SU set in quite some time and the results are generally quite lovely. I think these flowers look great in any color.  I just love Crumb Cake, White and Dark Red together.

Details: I have a mix of MFT and SU on this card.

Hope you have a creative day, Nanc’
