Hello, We have a fun Color challenge starting today at Just Us Girls. I have had this stamp set for at least 6 months and it’s the first time I have used it. I know…the shame of it all! LOL I think I was a bit intimidated by it and was afraid I couldn’t do it justice for how pretty it truly is. Then, I put on my big girl panties this week and went to work. It’s not exactly fabulous but it will do. I made the striped background with a stencil and some Oxide inks and then thought it looked a bit lost, so I added the black outline to the colors and it did help. The flowers and globe are colored with Copics. The stamp set is from Catherine Pooler and is called Amber’s World. I have raised a few of the flowers with dimensionals.

This is a fabulous use of the colors, Nancy. The stripes really do stand out with the black edges and it ties into the globe stand.

What I first liked about this card is that the sentiment is perfectly illustrated by using the flowers on the globe. Flowers always make things better. Hesse, the sentiment is great with the image. Very clever!

I think it’s perfect! It’s so pretty! I love the striped background and the black outlines really make it stand out. And your coloring of the globe is lovely! Beautiful card and great use of the colors.

I have a couple… *ahem* several…stamp sets that are still in their original packaging, awaiting play dates…and some go even further back than 6 months! Your set was waiting for the right challenge to come along to make its debut….and a gorgeous one it is! Love everything about this!
