I am going to apologize in advance as I have recently become addicted to making background papers using my Stampin Up- Buffalo Check Background stamp. I have a feeling you will be seeing a lot of these in the very near future. I am embarrassed to say I have probably had that stamp for 6 months or more and have never used it. I also love the new set from SU called Country Home, I am happy to report I only got that one about a month ago, but it’s the first time I have inked it up. My sweet friend Angie so graciously sent me some coaster die cuts from the Greetery and they have really made great table doilies when you cut them in half. I used a mix of Copics and Prismas for my medium. After I stamped the grey checkered squares I came back with a rose-colored Copic and a ruler to make the other lines.
My colors were chosen because of the color challenge going on over at Just Add Ink.
Plus, I am linking up with Darnell over at NBUS!
I hope you had or will have a wonderfully creative day, Nanc’

I won’t be the first to tell you how sweet this is! Love the colors and that milk jug with the flowers and cattails is the bomb! What an adorable card this is. I love everything on this beauty.

Everything about this is superb, Nanc’! I will never get tired of your plaid designs and I especially love this one in these pretty colors! It’s beautiful with the coloring you did on that great milk can and bouquet and the half coaster works perfectly to ground it! Take care and keep safe. Thank you for sharing at NBUS! Hugs, Darnell

Wow that is a wonderful background paper – I thought it was a patterned paper – very clever. The paper doily is a nice touch. Chantell Just Add Ink

I think those colors just screamed plaid, Nancy, and I’m glad you had fun making it. I need to get out some of my plaid stamps and have a play day.

This is wonderful Nanc’! Congrats on it being picked at JAI. I took a picture of our bartender’s shirt months ago and told him the plaid was giving me inspiration to create a card. You beat me to it! I can’t wait to get back home and make it for him. Our Irish Pub has been closed since 3/18 and is slowly reopening. I wish I could show you a photo of his shirt but all you have to do is look at your background et voila! Keep the plaids coming!!
