Hello, I wanted to make sure I had a chance to join the Paper Players challenge this week. So last night I made a card using a stamp set from Altenew. I still haven’t mastered this multi-step stamp set. It’s not as easy as I thought it would be even with directions. LOL I will prevail someday!
I have stretched the sketch a bit now that I looked at it again, as my center panel is a bit too big. Oops! I popped up a few of my flowers to cover the ones that looked terrible. The sentiment is from Gina K.
Today is the last day of school for me. This isn’t quite how I would have imagined the year would have ended, but this picture makes it a bit easier. It was taken with some of the kindergarten kids on the 100th day of school this year. If you look closely the kids decorate their clothes with 100 of something to help celebrate. The little boy in front of me has 100 plastic bugs on his shirt. And in puff paint the mom wrote, I bugged my teacher 100 days this year. LOL It is always such a fun day. I sure hope next year starts and ends better than this one. I miss those faces so much!
I hope you have a creative day, Nanc’

Very pretty. I think your flowers look great. I also have a time lining this set up but it usually turns out o.k.
Love the photo and all the smiling faces of the children. What a fun idea for the 100th day of school. That is such a cute idea for the little one in front of you – 100 bugs, and bugging the teacher. 🙂
Have a great summer. Hugs.

Nance those Altenew sets do take a little practice to line up but I think your purple blooms look fabulous! As do your cute Kindergarten peeps – what a fun idea too for the 100th day of school, so creative. Enjoy your summer break! Thanks for sharing with us over at The Paper Players this week!

I think your stamping is wonderful, Nancy. That set isn’t meant to be perfect. The mix of colors is lovely. I love the idea of the bugs on the shirt. That Mom is very clever.

Nance, I love all your purple blooms! I think this turned out beautiful! What a cute class. Such a difficult ending for the year. Your picture brought back many memories of teaching! Thank you for sharing your pretty card at The Paper Players this week!

LOL, I am challenged by these Altenew stamps as well–and I have the same set! I still think they look lovely, especially in the colors you chose. Really, they’re supposed to look “free-form”, at least that’s what I tell myself. It’s a lovely card! And I am sure your class misses you too. My granddaughter’s charter school did something similar for the 100th day! Let’s pray that next year will be different! Thanks for using my sketch this week at the Players!
