Lemonade

Hello, I hope this post finds you well. I started my plans for my card using the fun sketch over at My Favorite Things.  I must say that today’s card is one I am pretty happy with, which is a rarity! LOL  I have been working hard to improve my coloring skills especially with Copics and this is probably the best job I have done when it comes to people.  I still have some work to do that is for sure, especially in the hair department, but I am enjoying the process.  Also, the fun paper you see behind my sweet PI little lemonade lover is not designer paper but actually a piece of packaging from some canning jars that I bought a while ago.  I am tickled to have finally used some of it.  I love repurposing something so pretty.

I made the 3 victorian edge pieces behind my rectangle with my Fiskers cutter. I added some cute yellow round gemstones and I was done.

I am also linking my card up over at two additional challenges.  Over at Inkspirational Challenge, they have the word Sketch and they are allowing us to link our card up If we used a Sketch from another challenge. Next at the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, I am using the row- Polka Dots, Sequins, and Summer.  I hope they don’t mind I substituted my yellow gems for the sequins and nothing screams summer like a nice cold glass of lemonade.

Thanks for visiting, Nanc’

  6. What enjoyment I here on this post. You were able to reuse a fine piece of paper packaging from canning jar, what creativity! That PI girl and your coloring are fab. You should be proud of you self, it shows.
