Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Happy Birthday

Hello, It’s Sunday at least I think it is.  I have a fun card for you today for a couple of challenges.  My idea began with this great sketch over at My Favorite Things. When I first looked at the sketch I saw a swimming pool. Plus, I just got the new Perfect Pool water stencil from MFT that I have been itching to use. Next, I decided to pair it up with the word Peaceful at Time Out Challenge. I don’t know about you, but there is nothing more peaceful to me than floating around a swimming pool on an innertube. Boy do I miss our pool, especially this summer with the pandemic and all.  At least my little MFT Elephant is enjoying himself on this hot summer day.  I put a light coat of white ink over my first color of Broken China Oxide ink. It really looks great IRL. Still have a lot to learn with Copics but I will get there.

All stamps and the stencil are MFT.

I so appreciate you stopping by, Nanc’

  1. Aha! What a peaceful scene you have there, I love that even an elephant can float. like me! I would love to know what the name of the stencil is.

  2. Oh this is just too darn cute Nancy!! I love that little “Elle-phant!! My neighbors (daughter! *wink) have a pool now…the older grands came to Scott in April and put on a power point presentation about why they think they should have a pool and of course could he help finance it! Ha ha..he agreed! so it is done and being used and we have a 90 degree day today…perfect pool weather! (Now he is building a cabana for them…to get out of the sun and sit and chat in comfy seats! Heart Hugs, col
