Today’s cards are for this month’s Twofer Challenge. The word Darnell has for us is Butterflies. Well, I don’t know many cardmakers that don’t have a few butterflies in their stash of supplies. The hardest part was deciding which one. I decided to get out my neglected die-cut from Saavy for my cards. The die is a bit challenging as it is so large and takes up so much space on a card front. I decided to try my hand at making some backgrounds for both cards since the cards themselves were going to end up being rather simple.
The green and black card all started with some Alcohol Inks on glossy cardstock. Then I did the lifting technique with some blending solution and a leaf stencil. You can’t really see the pattern of the leaf once the butterfly was cut out, but it does have a very cool effect on the butterfly. The sending hugs sentiment is from Altenew. It’s one of my favs for sure. Here is the video by Jennifer McGuire.
The other colorful panel is the Technique that Gina K and Rina did last week called Reverse Stenciling. That was a lot of fun to do. I highly recommend it. You have to look a little closer to see the butterfly. The thanks die is from Saavy as well.
Thanks for popping in and I hope you have a very creative day and stay safe, Nanc’

Both of your cards are a true feast for the eyes, Nancy. I am so smitten with all the colors and how they pop against the black backgrounds. That butterfly die is simply wonderful and makes such a bold statement on your cards. Great techniques, too. I will have to head over and watch the videos for these techniques, thanks for sharing them. And thanks for joining us at The Twofer Challenge! Stay safe, Bev

Wow, Nanc’, gorgeous butterfly designs! I love the colors of the alcoholic panel you made and then used to die-cut your butterflies on your first card. It really looks sensational against the black and I love the border and sediment! I’m really intrigued by your second card design and need to get over and watch that video. It’s amazing how camouflaged the butterfly is and I love how colorful the card is! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #29! Keep well! Hugs, Darnell

These are both so wonderfully bright and vibrant, Nancy … the lime AI ones positively pop off the card … and are gorgeous against the black! What a fabulous pattern you created for your second card … I do love the camouflaged look … and this one is delicious! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita 🙂
