Today is Monday and instead of reporting to work, I am beginning a new chapter in this thing called life. Now I can say I am “officially” retired. So far so good! LOL My favorite part of my day is between the hours of 6-8 am. During that time you can find hubby and I enjoying the quietness of the new day while sipping our coffee and chatting about whatever we find on our electronic devices that we find worth sharing with one another. There is no television and it’s just peaceful. Now, this doesn’t have to occur on just weekends, holidays, or summer vacation but each and every day, and I am really excited about that! Squeal!
Speaking of new beginnings…Nothing says new start more than a wedding card and that is what I have for you today! I am playing along with The Paper Players challenge today.
I made this card using Stampin Up products for the puzzle pieces, rectangle die, and sentiment. The bow tie which is a tad hard to see is from Paper Smooches. It’s part of a bow missing the ribbons hanging down. For the girl puzzle piece, I used very small pearls.
I hope you have a wonderful day! Hmm….what shall I do? Nanc’

Well the start of your day/new life sounds wonderful! I am so happy for you to begin this new chapter in your life. I am already there and I can tell you it will be awesome. More time for what ever you choose to do. I am sure that crafting will be top on the list as this card is too cute not to mention that I love how you dressed up the puzzle pieces.

We’ve been enjoying a very similar start to our days for several years now—reading as well as online browsing. It is, indeed, a lovely way to start the day. On the rare days when one of us has an early appointment or, now, Zoom meeting, I miss that time. Your card is such a clever take for a wedding card! Love the idea of pearls for the “bride” and the bow tie for the “groom.” Enjoy this first day of retirement!

Wow, big congrats my friend! I retired 3 years ago and it has been wonderful. Sounds like you’ve already got a good routine planned, which I’m sure will include time in your craft room! The card you made is so cute, I think the puzzle piece design is very clever and keeping the card to black and white adds a nice touch of elegance. So glad to see your card in the Player’s gallery this week!
