Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Hello

Hi!  This card is one of those cards that you aren’t sure if you love it or hate it. LOL The jury is still deliberating as we speak. I think I cheated a bit with the green as it’s more turquoise for the majority of the card.  Sorry about that Carol.  There was no time to fix it when I started to write this post. I did use a green piece of chalk for the stem and leaves of the flower though. I chalked up the flower too.  I haven’t done that technique for so long.  All you need is a Q-tip to color with.

The flower stamp is from Stampin Up, the HELLO – die-cuts from MFT, the scalloped piece at the bottom and the tab on the side are MFT dies also. I am not sure where I got the checkered stencil for the background. Everything was done with chalk.

Come by Just Us Girls and check out what our fabulous team and guest Lindsey have done! Nanc’

  1. Looks great to me. Fantastic coloring.

  2. You must have still been in a turquoise mood! 😉 I think it’s a very pretty card – love the airy feeling the bottom die cutting gives the design. Pulling out your chalks is pretty cool, too. 🙂

  3. Looks just fine to me! Chalks? I haven’t thought about those in years. I’ll bet there are some, though, in my craft closet. After seeing this, I think I should pull them out. The flower is beautifully colored, and I love the stencilled background.

  4. I got rid of my chalks a long time ago. They give a soft look to your card, Nancy.

  5. Great technique! I haven’t used my chalks in so long. Not even sure where they are! This is so pretty…I don’t know why you need a jury to decide! LOL!

  6. Such a pretty card Nancy! Love the beautiful pink blossoms! Thank you for the inspiration!

  7. So pretty and so colourful. Such a lovely layout too Nancy.

  8. My vote is for I love this beautiful design! That stenciled background is perfect and I love the flowers stamped over the top of it. I just saw my chalks the other day and I love how you used yours on the flower and background with beautiful results. I just might have to play with mine soon.
