Color my world with family, friends and some time to be creative making cards!

Plaid

Hello,  We have a great word selected by Bobby for you this week at Just Us Girls… the word is Plaid. I have this great buffalo check stamp from SU that I used to make my background. I used a mix of colored pencil and Copics for the medium.  The background was made with a Copic marker as well. The coaster die is from the Greetery. The stamp set and greeting are SU.

I have made a card similar to this in the past and I loved it so I did it again!

We have a brand new guest with us this month and she just so happens to be on my Design team over at Color Hues.  Please help me in welcoming Karen Walker to JUGS for the month.  Welcome, Karen!

Hope to see you in our gallery!

Take care,

Nanc’

  1. So very beautiful.

  2. This is surely a fall card, but I love that you used different fall colors on it. That pitcher in pink is lovely and really makes a pop. I am really liking that buffalo plaid stamp.

  3. Another wonderful card; love the colors you chose. That sentiment is so perfect for right now! Thanks for the shout-out! Guest designing for JUGS is a lot of fun!

  4. Making your own plaid background AND cool panel background, wow! And a great card. I think we need a lot of that sentiment.

  5. Oh I love the color of plaid you used! Talk about an appropriate card sentiment 🙂

  6. Echoing the others: your card is marvelous in every way! Love the plaid, the soft background, the star-of-the-stage flowers, the die-cut ‘table cloth’ and, especially, the sentiment! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy!

  9. Love your plaid border! It looks fantastic!

  10. Love your plaid and how it brings out the blue flowers, Nancy. The Copic background is wonderful and the red pitcher pops off it.

  11. This is gorgeous with so many amazing details! That buffalo plaid stamped background makes a gorgeous border for your awesome flowers with that coaster die, too.

  12. What a cool way to use that coaster die! I love it! I never would have thought to do that, but now that I’ve seen it, I’ll have to use it that way! LOL! Very pretty card, as usual!
