Hello, Today is my first challenge as a Guest Designer for 2021 over at The Paper Players. Insert happy dance! If you happened to miss my announcement I have linked it up for you Here! I am over the top excited to be a part of this talented team. For our first challenge of the New Year, LeAnne has asked us to use something new on our card. Well, I don’t know about you but I may have a few new things lying around the craft room that I have yet to use or I just recently purchased. The stamp and dies I chose to use for today’s card are from Stampin Up and have never been used. To my defense, I have only had them two months so not too bad. I have wanted this set from the moment it came out! It stamps beautifully and is called Forever Fern. The designer paper is also from Stampin Up and the greeting is too. This is a fast card with a great reward!
Now, please dust off some stamps that you have yet to use, or maybe break the seal on something you got for Christmas and come and join us at The Paper Players! The team and the two other guests…Debbie and Amanda have some serious eye candy for inspiration to get you started!
For more inspiration, be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team:
I sure hope I can keep up with the talent over there!
Hope to see you in the gallery! Nanc’

This seems to be an easy challenge as there is usually something NEW on my desk. I love this paper and at first, I thought it was from HL. You teamed up the new stamp and dies with it perfectly. I love these colors on the white frames. So clean and fresh, just like the new year.

Pretty card Nancy. Love this set also. You matched the stamped images perfectly with the DSP. Love how you framed them with the white die cuts.

Congratulations and your card is beautiful. My mojo is on a break so I may not be doing much card making these days. But I love the inspiration from your lovely design.

When I saw your card I was about to ask how you has resisted using this set since the summer then realized you get a pass since you’ve only had it 2 months! It was worth the wait! I love the layout with the double matted rectangles; really makes those fern sprigs pop! Super excited to be designing with you in 2021!

You’ve used this set so beautifully Nancy, the design is fabulous with the double scallop mats and the layers of stamped and die cut leaves. Those colors are some of my favs too! Gorgeous card for your first challenge as GDT, I’m so happy to be able to see your beautiful creations every week with The Paper Players, my friend! ππ

Your post made me smile Nancy – we are over the top excited to have you as our GD this year too!! I love your card and I can totally identify – I have the exact same bundle and DSP, both sat on my shelf for slightly longer (ahem!) than 2 months and both untouched – that little thing called Christmas got in the way! I might have to CASE your card by way of rectifying the situation – your cluster of greenery compliments your DSP border perfectly!

You are so kind Joanne! Thanks for your sweet message! I am glad I am not the only one that tool a while to use that set. It stamps really well and is so pretty! Now, if I can just work on the rest of the unused supplies that I just had to have! Have a great day!
