Hello Again, I am back today with the latest challenge from The Paper Players. It just happens to be time for our Color Challenge. If you know me, you know I love Color Challenges. Ann has selected the trio of colors below and of course one neutral.
Here are a few details: I just adore the seagull set from MFT. I used some yellow SU DP and a sun stencil for my background. The waves were first blended with Oxide Ink-on paper that was very close to the color Misty Moonlight. Then I took white paint and painted the swells to give them some white caps. The shell dies are from Impression Obsession. The little sunglasses are also from MFT. I used Oxide ink, and an old Stampin up stamp, and an MFT die for my sand. My coloring skills need a little work…I am certainly out of practice. I think my birds look a little dirty. LOL

I was thinking that you were inspired by the wonderful time you spend on the beach having lunch with Ty and Sandra. Your card looks so sunny and bright and a wonderful scene with the playful sea gulls.

LOL, now I want to go watch Finding Nemo…the seagull scene is my absolute FAVORITE part of the movie! Anyway, all the little fun elements you added to your cheerful card just make me smile….LOVE the sunglasses!

I need to go watch ‘Finding Nemo’ now Nancy – I can almost hear those funny seagulls chanting!! Love, love, love the way you used the colours, which definitely challenged me this week! And that sunshine is just so cheery – I love it!

Nancy, I love this card. Those seagulls are just the cutest and I think your coloring skills are absolutely perfect!! I don’t live very far from the beach. I have to say, this card makes me long for the summer. Perfect use of the challenge colors. Have a great week!

Of course, this has the sun and a beach theme, Nancy. Lol, So cute and fun. We have beautiful sun today after torrential downpour all day and evening yesterday. It was nasty. Hope all is well with you.

Nancy, this card put a huge smile on my face. Your gulls are awesome and that sentiment – well, it just makes me smile. What a wonderful scene you have created and it makes me crave summer even more – especially as I am looking out at yet more snow falling! Fabulous take on the colors

Nancy, I love everything bout this card! The layered waves and those adorable sunglasses. Reminds me of visiting my mom in Florida. Such a fun way to showcase the colors this week.

What a fabulous card for your debut with TPP! Oh my goodness, such fun details and great use of the colors! I love the patterned paper showing subtly behind the sun’s rays. You outdid yourself with this one, it is over the top adorable!
