Peach and Green

Hello, Hope this post finds you well. It’s time for our next duo of colors at Color Hues. The color combo that the lovely Carol has chosen for all of us is Peach and Green. This was such a fun challenge for me as Peach isn’t something I use very often. I will tell you a funny back story real quick. I was working on this challenge at a friend’s house about a month or so ago and I was so happy with how my card was turning out but had plans to finish it when I got home. Later the next day, I sat down to finish it up and when I was looking at it I realized I was staring at peach and grey. LOL Have you ever done that? Let me just say it’s not the first time. You may just be seeing that combo sometime this year. LOL

Card Details: I have a mix of supplies for today’s card. Surprise surprise. LOL I just love the dotted background die that I just got from Sunny Studios called Frilly Frames Polka Dot. It comes with an outer frame and is actually a lot bigger. I cut it down to fit the size I wanted for my card. The flowers and greeting are from Stampendous, and the flowers are heat embossed and watercolored. The leaves are an old stamp from SU and a coordinating punch. I added the green strips of paper to bring the green back again in the design. A few pop dots for dimension and a few clear Nuvo drops to finish it off.

I sure hope you will consider popping on over to Color Hues and joining us! The team’s cards are much more phenomenal than mine-as always! I am going to have to kick it up a notch if I want to stay on this team. 😉

Take care, Nanc’

  1. So pretty, Nancy. And yes I’ve finished a card and then realized I didn’t follow the prompt correctly. That just means a second card to add to my stash.

  2. So very gorgeous!

  3. Like you, I’ve finished cards for a challenge, and then realized that the one or more of the elements just doesn’t work! Your completed card is beautiful, and I love the mix of patterns you’ve chosen as a background for those gorgeous flowers!

  4. Haha! I look forward to peach and gray, but until then this is a stunner.

  5. Very pretty. Love your watercolored blooms and this pretty color combo.
    Have a wonderful week.

  6. LOVE this so much. That polka dot cover plate die is so stinkin’ cool, and you have used it perfectly. Your flowers are beautiful, and I really like that background patterned paper here. It adds a lot to the look of the whole card. Great take on the challenge, which I love this time. Hope I can play along. XOXO~

  7. Selling yourself short again – this card is stunning! Your flowers are perfectly coloured, and your design is fabulous. Love this!
